I had been bought a voucher for Xmas and chose to stay here. Everyone was friendly and the room was clean, the hallway and stairs looked a bit shabby, could really do with a new carpet and a lick of paint. There was a bar open in the town square that played music until about 2am. And all I could...

Many thanks for the review and I'm glad that in the main you had an enjoyable stay. Sorry for the issue with sleep quality. There is a pub located across the road but that closes at 11pm, so I'm uncertain which pub would have been at fault as it must have been one from further along the road. Many apologies...

The location was great for visiting the Peak District. The room was very nice and clean. We really liked the cook breakfast. The staff are very friendly. We did not have a problem with the noise of the traffic even though on the main road. We made the mistake of parking in the market square as it is free to...

Popped in one Tuesday for a quick bite having been years ago. Just beat a load of bikers who called in for a drink. Don't let this put you off as they were on a ride it is not a bikes pub. We order a starter and a main. I must say mistake there was so much food next time...

Many thanks for the review and we're glad you had a pleasant stay. We are in the process of refurbishing the rooms, but as we only have a small number, these have to be done one at a time! I hope we can welcome you again and show you the efforts of our refurb! Kind regards

We stayed for one night at The White Hart using a gift voucher bought from Unique Places to Stay. Other than being located above a tea rooms I'm not sure why The White Hart is considered a unique place. However it is handy for touring the nearby Peak District. It is located in the centre of Leek, opposite the Market...

I'm sorry to read of your disappointment with your recent stay. As you refer to within your review, we have had many guests who have enjoyed their stay with us and I am therefore sorry that we fell somewhat short on this occasion. We are currently undergoing a programme of refurbishment within the bedrooms, but as I hope you can...

Stayed with my mum when visiting The Retreat. Couldn't have been better. Welcomed by smiling staff, who were so accommodating and friendly. Room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Shower was just perfect! Breakfast was delicious and again staff were more than happy to a accommodate our requirements. Would most definitely recommend and would love to visit again

We stayed at The White Hart over the weekend as our daughter got married in Leek. We had 4 rooms on the Friday and all the rooms on the Saturday. Everything is spotlessly clean and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfasts are fabulous and the scones to die for!!!They catered for the afternoon tea at the wedding...

Stayed last night and was impressed with the neutral decor and facilities provided. Good hair dryer and full sized kettle. Room spotless and I am OCD. Slept really well on the comfortable double bed. After a night out in Leek the hearty breakfast was well appreciated. Reasonably priced. Staff very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be...

Very simple establishment with a number of rooms above the tea rooms. Very clean, neutral décor and nothing to pick them up on and the breakfast was delicious. We stayed overnight here as we were attending a wedding at the Ashes (5 mins drive away). Parking is around the corner in a public car park but it isn't too expensive....

Stayed here for 1 night due to friends getting married in nearby Rushton Spencer. As other reviews have said, this is more of a 3* accommodation. The rooms could do with a freshen up as they look a little tired. That's not to take anything away from the cleanliness and service as these were both very good. Breakfast was cooked...
