Recently visited for a Christmas meal... the food was amazing. All home cooked, the creamy mushrooms were fantastic. Make sure you ask do the cheese board as well ...... All the waitresses were attentive and polite. Small relaxed bar with a more homely feeling than that of a hotel bar. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed........

The three course meal was delicious and each person had a little 'present' on their side plate; a lovely touch. There was a good menu choise.

Stayed for a night in this hotel and found it clean and comfortable. The staff were very polite and service was excellent. Rooms are old style with a more modern bathroom and comfortable bed for a good nights sleep. I would have no problem recommending the hotel.

Easily passed, the hotel is a Georgian country house that dates from the 1780s. Whilst the corridors and bedroom doors could be more in keeping with the style and age of the building, the rooms are comfortable and pleasant enough (I was in Room 14), with well appointed facilities. The Rooms are small but I found I had everything I...
