Honestly disappointed in this place and couldn't wait to leave. The staff are friendly and the rooms are fine including small hospitable ammenities such as tea, coffee, fresh towels, gels and a nice diffuser ect ; but the noise they allow outside is pretty bad. You expect noise from a pub hotel which is completely fine but when your window is broken and does not physically close its hard to get peace at 2 in the morning with people still right below chatting as loud as they can. Our friends also stayed down the hall and they could hear the same so its not different in any room. We stayed two nights and neither nights did it go quiet till 2 am as even on the first night a argument broke out ( no fault to the staff members) between a  screaming group. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the morning with music and the community but don't expect to sleep well. The bathroom also did not have a curtain or blind just a sheer bit. It was uncomfortable to shower when you can hear people outside, especially at night when silhouettes are visible. In the end. The staff are nice, the hotel is clean, the drinks are good but the windows need to be fixed.

I wrote a glowing review of the White Hart back in December - how quickly things change. I’ll start with the positives - the cocktails and the wine were good and the young chaps that served us were very pleasant. We ordered a bread board and olives from the nibbles section of the menu priced at £4.95 each. I was expecting a few nice pieces of bread but what arrived on a plate (not a board) were 3 tiny part baked rolls - the cheapest supermarket kind you could possibly find and one was still frozen in the middle!! To be fair this was swiftly replaced with another 3 rolls which sort of compensated for the miniscule portion. The olives were cheap and nasty too. As for the main courses - served an hour after ordered with no apology for the wait. Two choices were unavailable. They were adequate and that is about it - certainly nothing outstanding and the risotto was just lukewarm. We passed on dessert as couldn’t be bothered to wait again. As we were finishing our meal a fight broke out in the lobby area - whilst this wasn’t the fault of the establishment it does make me question the current clientele it seems to be attracting. Asked at 10.00pm if we wanted any further drinks as last orders - at 10.00pm?! Not sure when this timing changed? Overall exceptionally disappointing and certainly won’t rush back.

Very enjoyable stay, comfortable room with a spacious bed and very modern clean bathroom. Enjoyed a meal on the night which was superb! Specifically the Cote de Pork. Absolutely outstanding, we will definitely return soon!

We stayed here for one night and definitely wouldn’t be staying again. Initially, we walked into a welcoming pub area, where the staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. We walked up to our room to an intense smell of cigarettes, like people had been smoking in the hallway to the rooms. We looked round our room and realised we didn’t have basic bathroom items, like hand wash and after asking for some, we still didn’t receive any. The windows in the too were also broken so they couldn’t actually shut fully, meaning we were stuck with the noise from the pub all evening. We were aware that staying at a pub would be a bit noisy but we weren’t expecting it to paste the lengths it did. The music was extremely loud and didn’t stop playing until around 11:30pm. After finally falling asleep, we were then woken to the music starting again at 1:30am and people in the pub garden shouting and someone reving their engine in the pub car park. This all continued until 2:15am. As well as this, it seems a someone was rearranging a room above us and this continued throughout the whole evening. In the morning we went to check out and no one was around, leaving us waiting for a while until someone finally came and said to leave the key on the desk. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

Wouldn't stay again. Agree with the other reviews on service...very poor. Ready to order breakfast and told the other table were in first so he would come back to us. Ordered then sat there for 70mins not once offered coffee or water refills. Room was nice but noise from the pub kept us awake. Would rather pay more for better service.

Having been here before, a few years ago and enjoying our experience, we expected the same again..sadly not. Food was OK, but service was terrible. A young lad started to serve us, he was fine, but we witnessed him being sworn at by someone obviously incharge and then he took over our "service." Our main course took ages to come, he didn't serve one meal, meaning one guest had to chase him to get it off him! After we'd finished our main course, no one cleared our table or offered us the desert menu, we had to go the bar to ask. 1.5 hrs we waited between main and desert. We were forgotten about, whilst attention was given to another large, very noisy party, who were obviously spending alot of money on drink. I accept that the evening was busy and staff were pushed, but at one point there were 3 staff members stood outside talking, whilst we sat with finished dinner plates infront of us. At the end of our evening, there was no apology for the poor service, nothing. Of all the issues we encountered, the worst by far was the public berating of the staff member by the senior staff, for what appeared to be no apparent reason. Would not pay a return visit.

The hotel bedroom was comfortable, clean and quiet. We had a good night’s sleep. Whist the shower over the bath was excellent there was no shower mat so having a shower was a slip risk. Breakfast (not included in the room rate) was dreadful - no eggs had been delivered that morning and the menu very restrictive, we were not allowed to choose granola in addition to the cooked breakfast. Also our tea came in a mug with teabag inside, we had to ask for a tea pot. At £9.95 per person I was not happy. In future we would have breakfast elsewhere. We stayed there on a Sunday night so not sure if a function noise would travel to the bedrooms.

We had a lovely Mothers Day Lunch very good food and reasonably priced. There was a nice choice of roast meats and freshly prepared vegetables and the creamy leeks delicious!! Nice selection of desserts for £4.95 which I think is excellent. Our waitress was lovely and looked after us very well. Thank you.
