Travellers' Choice
The thrills and spills of some of England's best theme parks, or the picturesque beauty of the Peak District? Get the best of both at Premier Inn Hotel Uttoxeter, on the outskirts of this historic market town. If you're here for work, we're close to key destinations like JCB headquarters, too. We're handily located just off the A50 at the junction with Derby Road - so while the hotel may not be our quietest, you're in a great position to hit the road and discover everything the area has to offer. Take a flutter at Uttoxeter Racecourse, or a wild ride at Alton Towers. Step back in time at Sudbury Hall and the Museum of Childhood, or explore the ruins of Croxden Abbey. After a busy day, head back for a tasty meal in our restaurant and unwind in your spacious room and extra-comfy bed. Please note, there is a service station and a lorry park next door, both of which operate around the clock.

Good, no frills accommodation at a reasonable price. Clean and comfortable room with basic facilities. Easy to find and just a short taxi ride to Uttoxeter. Good value cooked breakfast although sausages were cold. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Good value although prices can be much higher when Alton Towers is open.

Hotel's Favourite
Like other people we stayed here to visit Alton Towers which is a 20 minute drive away. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel too. Rooms can take an extra 2 beds for children without it being too crowded. They have air conditioning/heating, TV, kettle with coffee, tea, milk and sugar (no hot chocolate so bring your own) and a hair dryer. There is free wi-fi and the bathrooms have a soap dispenser next to the sink and a hair and body gel dispenser in the shower/bath. The shower was lovely and hot and the towels were lovely large ones that actually fit your body! Breakfast was excellent (children go free with fee paying adult) with a hot buffet of bacon, sausages, beans, hash browns etc as well as cereals, pastries and bread (DIY toaster). We also had dinner in the Table Table restaurant which was very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are no lifts but we stayed in the 'annexe' and the first floor was only 2 flight of stairs. I would definitely stay here again.

No big double width bed (entirely why I book a premier inn). Noisy fan that kept running all night, boiling hot room and the a/c would only set to heating. The breakfast was slopped on the cold plate and was average to inedible, frozen fruit, stale gf toast, no milk except out of a machine, coffee was cold, no decaf apart from instant. No staff and no customers wore masks, no windows or doors open and we could hear a member of staff coughing up their lungs in the back room. If we get covid it will be from this fairly hideous breakfast experience. At least the towels were fluffy. Merry Christmas!
