The hotel is located at the end of a long drive well away from road and also aircraft noise. It's a lovely old manor house surrounded by woods where there is plenty of parking. The public areas have beautiful oak paneling and there are some large stained glass windows. However, the Italian bar with white walls and black and white...

We booked the hotel as overnight before travelling to Gatwick early the next morning. On arrival we were told there was a Christmas party and the restaurant was closed but we could join the party ! We declined and were told if we wanted something else to eat we would have to sit down in the walk through to the...

This Hotel is a bit out of the way and rather hard to find in the dark. That said when we did finally arrive having had to go the long way round the M25 due to an accident on the QE2 bridge it was a pleasant surprise. Check in was fast and easy with the desk clerk being very helpful...

On return to Gatwick, rather than stay in one of the national chain of hotels near the airport we decided to opt for a country house hotel in the area. Stanhill Court has impressive grounds and is a very interesting Victorian country house. It was dark when we arrived and we missed the entrance first time and it would have...

On our second visit I'm sad to say that we wasn't intirley impressed, we arrived early an on arrival felt a little pressured as a Christmas party had been organised at 35 pound ahead, we kindly refused but they had already called me in the day and we refused the offer , on checking in we found that the trouser...

We stayed here in September before our holiday to St Lucia. The hotel is lovely but lacks a lift which made our trek to the far end of the hotel quite difficult. Our room was comfy and looked out on the garden. The reception staff both on arrival and on departure were not very welcoming and did not give a...

Beautiful place full of history. Wood panelled walls all over real wood. The staircase going up to the bedrooms. The stained glass windows were amazing and the windows were huge like a whole wall of windows stunning. The room was a bit under whealming it was an odd shape and in need of TLC. the bed was comfortable . the...

I am totally surprised at negative reviews. We have stayed here on many occasions when we travel from Gatwick and have yet to be disappointed. We pointed out on one occasion that we were not happy that our car had been moved and it hasn't been since. Lovely comfortable hotel. Stayed in standard room last time and were just as...

About 10 minutes away from Gatwick airport, seemed ideal for an over night stop prior to a morning flight. The hotel is an impressive building on the outside and also in the entrance area, but rooms were tired and furniture was well due to be refurbished, seating was all ripped and curtains torn. Small bathroom. An evening meal in the...

Despite reading a number of negative reviews our experience was actually a very positive one. All of the staff (without exception) were friendly and accommodating, and spending an hour with a drink watching the sunset on the terrace was a great way to unwind. Stanhill Court is an old manor house and so does not have some of the amenities...
