I booked a room for 1 night some time before our stay, but my wife broke her shoulder and finds stairs very difficult. At short notice reception very kindly gave us a ground floor room. This was very comfortable and had everything we needed, including a huge TV with hundreds of channels. Breakfast was excellent, and I enjoyed the "Full English" provided. This is a bed and breakfast hotel - they do not do evening meals.

We were here as 11 girls staying before we went biking the following day. The hotel is well situated, the rooms clean and tidy and the staff really accommodating. We went I to Farnham for dinner on a Saturday night and came back to the hotel for a night cap but at 10.50 the bar was closed which was very disappointing - had we known we would have stayed in Farnham. The breakfast was very good in the morning.

Thank you so much to Louise and the rest of the team - I organised a work meeting here and everything went so smoothly. The rooms were very comfortable, and the lunch they arranged was delicious. The hotel is best reached by car, but taxis from Farnham were readily available, and when we stayed there was the option to get pizza in the evening (one meat, one veggie, one vegan) if you didn't want to have to go out.

Hotel staff very friendly, approachable and relaxed. Convenient, attractive location with lots of outside space. This is a review of Room 3 Ground Floor opposite breakfast room. We stayed for 3 nights with our dog and it's because we had the dog that this room was allocated. The room was very spacious with adequate furniture and clean. The bed was not comfortable as the coils/springs could be felt on the surface; we wish we'd asked for a matress topper. Tea and coffee plus biscuits provided but no saucers for the cups. The one thing that was really upsetting and the reason for my review was the state of the bathroom, a very tiny space off of the bedroom the walls and ceiling lined with bits of shower cladding. The shower cubicle door had obviously broken at some point and been replaced with an inventive fitting of a piece of shower curtain. The sealant on the back of the toilet was yellow, as though stained by urine. The basin had seen better days. It made us both cringe everytime we went in there. I'm certain the housekeeping staff work very hard to keep it clean but it really needs to be replaced. The shower pressure was so good that the shower head shot out of its fixing, something that caused my husband to get very cross with each morning. A warning to future guests; opening the window in the shower makes you completely visible to the car park as I discovered. The room is a good size, luckily we had ear plugs as its next to the gravel car park.

The hotel look very nice from the outside, if you ignore the dried-up pond and its medieval theme, with antler chandeliers, knights in armour and wooden beamed ceilings is charming. Hotel cleanliness is good. We started in Room 12, however it soon became apparent that there was no heating or hot water and after complaints (plural) to the reception desk, we were finally moved to another room, Room 6. Able at last to have a shower. Room 6 was fine until the bar staff decided to do their glass recycling at 1:45am on a Sunday morning. So much for a restful nights sleep. Breakfast was fine, not much choice in the way of fresh fruit, but the self-service English Breakfast buffet had most components. A choice of eggs might be nice, and maybe a jug containing cold water. Other than that breakfast was fine. Staff were pleasant.

We stayed here one night after attending a wedding in the area and we were really happy with our stay. The check-in process was easy and we had a very friendly welcome, the room was big and the shower was very powerful. Breakfast was very good quality.

Horrible nights stay here. We came down for our birthday and the room we booked stunk of smoke and has pee stains on the mattress. The staff were unresponsive and then eventually moved us to a new room which was a disabled access room.. which was not what we paid for. We raised the stench of smoke with the deputy manager who gave us a can of febreeze and said there you go. We said come in and smell it, he said I'm a smoker and it's just a preference. What level of customer service do you call this?? Outrageous.. We have attempted to claim for a refund from the owner, Tony who has acknowledged their wrong doing but he will not refund us. I would definitely avoid this place at ALL COSTS.

We can not commend FHH highly enough. Our wedding for 100 was organised in less than 4 months from beginning to end and they could not have been more accommodating. Mel and Charlotte were never phased by my requests and made the day itself incredibly special with very personal touches. The venue looked beautiful, the food was spot on and we had so many compliments about the location and event. Over a quarter of our guests stayed in the hotel with us and we all had breakfast (the full English version) together the following morning. Which was fab. Disabled access was easy, as we needed assistance for two guests, and they had no issues at all which was really important to us. We highly recommend the FHH not just fir events but also general stays. It’s location is perfect for easy access to main Surrey and Hampshire routes. Yet it is so peaceful and secluded it is a little gem. Thank you H&C
