Ordered on line for delivery farmer burger and chips . Burger was great - as usual however the chips were very Luke warm and soggy and even though the burger contents were great they were not particularly hot 😔 Have had delivery before and also eaten at the mulberry on occasions and normally everything was brilliant - sadly let down this time

Response from Jonathan Quelch, Owner at The Mulberry

I am really sorry but I struggled to understand your review. May I suggest you arrive a bit earlier to our busy events as we can’t keep letting people in as we have an obligation to the safety of our customers and staff. With regards 16 year olds I think not we ID everyone that comes in and as a licensee of many years I know what I am doing. A bitter review which is unfair

I can highly recommend an evening out with friends at The Mulberry pub, Farnham. Good drinks, great atmosphere and excellent service. A special thanks to Jeff Leybourne who was on duty and kept our table clear of empty glasses, kept replacing the candles and generally was a great host and made us feel very welcome. Excellent customer service!

The Mulberry is a great pub with a very large garden. I cant fault the place or the staff but couldn't get over paying £3.50 for a tiny cup of chips. I had a couple from the picture but the further cup was pretty much what you get. For something like chips, if you're charging £3.50 don't be stingy! If the portion size was better or the price reduced my rating would be higher.

Roast dinners were full of flavour, homemade gravies. Fuoco pizza was superb, authentic thin base, all great homemade tastes. Charlie our host was very friendly and seated us by the cosy log fire in the dining room. Tip top!

I always try to give the venue the opportunity to right the wrongs as I did with this place. No food checked was given so had to go to bar to explain the fries were still frozen in places and generally cold in others. The brioche bun was so stale (even after toasting) that I could not eat it and simply ate the beef patty. The person I was with also did not eat most of the bun. They offered not to charge for my fries (I would not have expected to pay for cold fries) and would be given £2 off for the bun. I explain that my meal was completely ruined as the fries and bun should be ate at the same time as the burger. I said did £8 for a burger patty on its own seem good value... I just got an apology back. I appreciate that sometimes people do not get it right... but extremely disappointed that I gave feedback directly and still did not leave happy.…

Sorry but this can not have been our venue. We do not sell cold fries or stale buns as you can see from the majority of our reviews this is not the case.

The bar staff were absolutely fantastic on a very busy day and the food is brilliant I highly recommend. You’ll have a great night there no where else to go in Farnham. The head chef is a legend......

Went to the mulberry for drinks and food the morning after our wedding at Farnham Castle. There were about 50 of us there and it was an excellent location to debrief on the wedding. The staff were incredible, food was delicious and bloody mary’s shifted the hangover nicely. An extra thanks to the staff who realised the deposit we paid hadn’t been taken off our final bill and called over the next couple of days to make sure we got it refunded and weren’t out of pocket! Cheers guys!

Ordered “The Man Vs Mulberry” challenge burger, for £25, with the promise of a t-shirt if the meal was finished within an hour. Polished it off within 29 mins, only to be told there were no t-shirts. The bar staff then took all my details, promising that a t-shirt would be sent in the post. My friend tried to complain, but was told there were no managers to take the complaint. An hour later, a mousy fellow asked me to put my tiny well behaved dog on a lead, despite her literally not moving from her sleeping spot for 4 hours. He revealed he was the duty manager. When presented with the facts of the burger debacle, he claimed that the “Man Vs Mulberry” challenge was no longer running. Then why had we paid £50 for food that was far too much to even enjoy, despite there being no prize offering? At no point during ordering were we told the challenge was no longer running. When confronted with these facts, he then refused to offer any kind of compensation, despite the fact that we would have just ordered a normal sized burger had there not been an offer of a prize. Upon our request of details of his manager (the owner I believe), he threatened to call the police on us, despite us making reasonable complaints regarding the mis-selling of their burger. An absolute weasel, unable to back up his own menu, defend his staff, communicate to his superior, or deal with the situation at hand. I’m sure the police have more important things to do on a Sunday evening than deal with a simple case of false advertising by a pub staffed by students. Also, both other orders by the party were incorrect.…
