We arrived before the usual check-in time as we were going to an Opera performance that evening and would not be back until after 11.00pm. The staff were very welcoming and understanding. Fortunately our room was vacant and they gave us our keys. The room was fantastic with fresh milk in the fridge and very clean. The rooms are set away from the pub and very quiet so we were able to sleep. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Farnham and surrounding area.

Upon arrival check in was friendly, quick and simple. Our room was well appointed with good free wi-fi, comfy bed and great shower. The first night we ate at the pub and the food was delicious and came at a fair price. The staff in this establishment are what take it from a good pub/ hotel to a great one! Would 100% reccomend and would book again in a heart beat if staying in the area again!

Excellent staff and wonderful room, would definitely recommend. Breakfast was great and location was perfect. Rooms were lovely bed was extremely comfortable and great night sleep. The room was well equipped with fridge and drinks, along with a fantastic coffee machine.

Stayed here for one night after reading the positive reviews. A warm welcome with all the necessary information was offered. The room was warm, clean and well equipped. The food and drinks in the pub were excellent, fresh, well prepared and the service was amazing. The same was true for the breakfast. Hubby’s smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and my smashed avocado set us up for the day. We will definitely stay here again. A big Thank You to all the staff - the Princess Royal in Farnham isa real gem.

We were warmly greeted when we returned to celebrate our joint wedding anniversaries and again had a very comfortable stay. Had a slight problem with sat nav postcode, so be prepared to give the hotel a call, they will provide excellent directions or use Google maps on your phone. Our suites, Wey and Bourne, were beautifully furnished, double aspect, a/c, tv in main bedroom and in the seating area along with an amazing roll top bath with separate rain forest shower. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate available in the room, could do with more tea bags! Fresh milk in the fridge with biscuits, a nice welcome. Dining room for dinner and cooked to order breakfast, vegetarian options catered for. Extensive bar, serving speciality beer and Gin, £5 for a single between 5-6pm, Fri and Sat. I popped in here for a drink recently and was served by an American/Canadian (I think) guy. Very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a dog friendly pub and it was lovely to see the staff actually coming over to pet dogs that came in. I only had chips and a glass of wine but the chips were hot and tasty and the other food that was coming out looked lovely. Really nice pub with friendly staff. The Chineham Arms (another Fullers pub in Basingstoke) could learn a lot from this pub!

Our family of eight ‘celebrated’ what would have been our mother’s 100th birthday by coming together for a really special Sunday lunch. Both service and food were superb with a special thanks to Tom who looked after all our needs for 6+ hours and couldn’t have been more helpful.

Excellent stay. Rooms have been so clean, food was excellent. Drink in spot on condition. Most importantly staff was so friendly and professional. Service beyond my dreams. Daisy and her team doing amazing job. That place is superb . If you are close to it you must go there. Definitely we will come back.

An absolutely perfect stay,we stayed 4 nights over Christmas,we stayed in July and it was arranged that we could stay in the room 16 that we had before,which was much appreciated as we have the roll top bath and the monsoon shower,the food Is a very good quality pub grub,but I have to make a special mention of the most amazing Christmas lunch which was absolutely brilliant,the atmosphere in the dining room was perfect!
