Wonderful location at foot of Box Hill. Very comfortable room. Lovely duvets and pillows. Very hospitable bar staff. Food sensational.... scallops crab croquet.... followed by hake. Breakfast served by lovely waiter.... eggs royale..... nothing too much trouble. Go!

There are two routes, one via the main road and one the scenic route but both about the same distance and travelling time - about 15 minutes (allow 20 for traffic and more if there's a race meeting to attend). Don't know how much a taxi would cost but ring Ashtead Taxis who are very helpful on 01372 390309 and they should be able to tell you. Hope this helps.
