We stayed here about 3 years ago. Then the bed was uncomfortable, the breakfast less than aspirational and the reception staff simply didn't speak English. We booked again (through necessity - braced for the devil we knew) but were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by a friendly team at reception and were informed that they had just bought the hotel,... More

Visited the hotel for a short stay. This is a 27 room private hotel with many original features but requires urgent updating . The carpets on the floor were quite old and dirty . Although there were signs telling "bear with us while there is refurbishment " - not sure how long the signs have been there for . On... More

I stayed here recently and everything seemed fine. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and I must say the food is awesome. The bar area is really nice, I was told that recently the new management took over and have plans to upgrade the rooms to a higher standard. The location of the property was ideal for... More

This hotel should be ashamed to call itself a hotel! Dirty room, curtains hanging off, dirty carpets, dirty en suite, no staff at hand, but not a bad walk into the town centre, Even though appears cheap, it's away to expensive for the standard!

Going to be short. Staff were friendly and the breakfast as great (included in room price). Room was ok, wouldn't recommend for a couples stay. Paint was all over the light fittings and the finish of the room wasn't great! Probably wouldn't stay again.

We had a work conference in Rugby and a group of us stayed here and were booked in here as it's close to the train station and the town centre. Seen some bad reviews here but I can only go by my own experience which was a good one. Clean rooms with all the usual amenities you would expect, good... More

Stayed here for one night thank goodness. Hotel smelt of curry all through. Rooms dirty and dilapidated. Shower full of limescale. View from the window was an overgrown and weed strewn garden. Good point was the staff. Excellent and willing to please.

I have eaten and stayed at this hotel a few times recently and was impressed with the new décor especially the new bar area which looks great. The rooms were elegant and comfortable and the hotel was located right in the centre close to the train station. Recommend this hotel.

I spent 8 nights here on a business trip and must say I was disappointed. Reading previous reviews (while already at the hotel) it is sad to note the only time management responds is when it is positive feedback. That sort of gives an idea on the attitude there. Lets start with good points. Location was good, as you could... More

Having spent 4 nights in the Grosvenor hotel on business, here is a hotel that can best be described as languishing in the relegation zone of the mediocre league! Bland, dated uninspiring decor in the room, disinterested staff and shoddy housekeeping are what you get for £55 a night B&B. The same towel I put on the floor after my... More
