We stayed for a wedding and were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was large, modern and clean and was ready early so that we could check in. Breakfast was very nice, with a wide selection. With the friendly staff and the hotel not being big it had a very peaceful, friendly atmosphere. The hotel is situated in...

We travelled straight from work and arrived at the hotel at 9:05pm, five minutes after the restaurant stopped serving food. This is fair enough but I expressed a wish for a snack with room service, to be told that wasn't possible. I then asked if I could have takeaway, this was permissible but unfortunately didn't arrive until 11:00pm - beware...

I was really disappointed to read your comments and feedback and although I was on all weekend , I am unaware of these issues with yourself and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss them if you would like to get in touch . If there are issues we would always prefer to deal with them at the time but if...

The hotel is well signposted from the main A23 and easy to find. The welcome was warm and genuine from the front desk as soon as we arrived. Excellent organisation meant we were passed on to waiting staff and a swift service continued with the delivery of food and refreshment in short order. The food itself was gorgeous and we...

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend in October on the Discover Sussex dinner, bed and breakfast offer. It was excellent value for money. The room was clean and spacious but the bed was a little hard, although some people may like this. The food was excellent. there was plenty of choice for dinner and breakfast. Service was outstanding...

I was really pleased to read your comments and see that you enjoyed your leisure break with us and most particularly that the staff looked after you well . WE were indeed very busy Saturday night and Sunday morning but it appears to were still well looked after . I also note your comments about the wine list , something...

We had an executive room but not sure what makes it an executive room! Perhaps it was the robe and slippers. The bathroom was tiny with a horrid shower curtain. The bed wasn't comfy, neither were the pillows. Honestly a Premier Inn provides more! The room looked basic/standard I'm sorry to say. The only positive was it was clean.

I was disappointed to read that you were unhappy with the bedroom facilities when you stayed recently but obviously pleased that you found the facilities clean . We are constantly investing into our property and faciliities but do note that we need to invest in this area . We have just replaced 30 shower curtains and put new throws into...

Quite a remote hotel but worth finding. Visited on a Sunday afternoon for tea which was delicious. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were all freshly made. Staff are very pleasant and friendly. Endless pots of coffee or tea. Would thoroughly recommend. Ideal venue for special occasions

My husband and I went for a relaxing 2 days break to The Hickstead Hotel. When we arrived we were very welcomed and remembered from previous stays. The hotel room was lovely - it was large and clean. close to Gatwick (so an option for early flights), close to Brighton and A23, so very convenient for travelling around the area. Of course you need your own car. Hotel itself was very clean, good sized rooms, we only ate breakfast here but that was very good and a reasonable price. Room price was also very good. Staff very helpful,...

We attended a wedding at the Hickstead and arrived midday (2 hours prior to check in) reception staff very accommodating and gave us rooms that had been cleaned so we could get luggage away prior to service. This is a 3* hotel and you get no more/less than expect, rooms are tired but comfortable - two things which would improve...
