We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in the last few weeks, both times for leisure reasons as our son was getting married nearby the first time and the second time we were visiting friends who live nearby in the county. We were struck by the friendliness of the staff and the actual cosiness of the hotel...

I really enjoy coming here for work, and it has nothing to do with the happy hour. A past visit put me off where a staff members child was kicking a football around the bar, and no one thought this was inappropriate, that felt weird, should I really have to tell them that this is not acceptable in a hotel...

We had a few reservations after reading some reviews but these were quickly dissolved when we arrived. The hotel is in a picture perfect, quiet village and the building looks superb. The gardens are not at their best in October but there was ongoing external painting and maintenance work underway. Someone needs to note the detail outside and clear up...

We stayed on 1st October in the honeymoon suite. A very large room with a 2 person bath in the corner. The bathroom was also a good size with a double walk in shower. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The new owners have only been there for a few weeks and have some good plans for this...

We had a large party stay at the hotel for my son's wedding near Billingshurst a few weeks ago. Whilst the hotel itself is nice the poor management meant almost everything I asked for and agreed beforehand did not happen. Communications with the hotel by email before the event was very frustrated, often no response. Ordered sandwiches for 12.30 before...

This is our hotel of choice when working nearby. I have therefore stayed here on a few occasions. The room was to the usual high standard, very large. Dinner in the evening was delicious and we were well looked after. My only gripe was breakfast wasn't as good as normal. The service was a little lacking and we found ourselves...

Stayed for 1 night [room 101, very spacious], visiting Goodwood Revival the next day [easy 25min journey]. Importantly our first impression was friendly helpful staff, some of the decor is dated & tacky e.g. wallpaper resembling a bookcase. The restaurant menu was stereotypical of many average restaurants, however the new chef did have a 'special' on - and very special...
