Rowan and Margaret are consummate hosts - friendly and accommodating, enthusiastic but not overpowering. Charming heritage building and cosy rooms. Verandahs and sitting room offer delightful features. Blackheath's best kept secret! We will be back next opportunity.

Stayed a couple of nights - comfortable room and easy to get around Blackheath from this location. Breakfasts were good with hot food, cereals and fruit. We look forward to returning in the future to explore more.

This grand old heritage guesthouse/BnB has large comfortable dining and living rooms under superb high ceilings of Victorian vintage. Full breakfast is excellent with attentive relaxed staff Matt and Indi....can't fault this well run establishment.

A lovely bed and breakfast perfectly located right in the heart of Blackheath village. Right next to all the, cafes, restaurants and shops. And only a short drive to Evans Lookout, Govetts Leap, Megalong Valley and the charming Rhododendron Gardens. Margaret, Rowan, Indi and Matt are warm, welcoming and friendly. Stayed here for to nights whilst trekking through the beautiful Blue Mountains. The owners made every effort to make sure everyone got their special attention and made us feel very welcome throughout. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was more than enough for the day's trekking ahead. Excellent - highly recommended.

We had a lovelly stay at Glenella last week. Such a warm welcome from Margareth in this so special house, full of charm. It was chilly when we arrived and she immediately proposed a hot chocolate. Rooms are comfortable, super clean. All day coffee/tea possibility in room or common areas, nice games available for adults or kids. She had very...

In 40 years of travelling, this was my worst hotel/motel/B&B experience bar none. I had booked a room 10 months in advance because I knew that weekend would be booked out, and it was. In this small town there was a music event which attracted thousands of people, and every place in the entire area, not only the town, was...

Online reservation fail. This was undoubtedly a very bad experience and we sympathise with your plight. Perhaps this review should have been done in two parts. Firstly the "large, well-known and much used website, a few days before" which is the beginning of your bad experience should get a review. These overseas web based agencies have systems which are not...

We had a delightful weekend stay at Glenella - the owners were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was small but very comfortable and warm enough in what was the middle of winter, and there was free wifi. There is a nice common area with a fire place, and an inviting eating area for breakfast each morning which had a...

Wow, where to start. How about...what a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked through the doors of this charming guesthouse, the owners, Margaret & Rowan treated us with service that was second to none, we didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. From the cosy fireplace in the living area, to the beautifully prepared full breakfast,...

Our stay at Glenella Guesthouse is one of the most memorable part of our trip to Blue Mountains. The hosts (Margaret & Rowan) are friendly and warm. The cosy living room has 2 seating areas with log burning fire place and the breakfast area was big & bright in the morning. The interconnecting rooms we booked with one bathroom in...
