We had a lovely overnight stay at Blair Athol. Beautiful house, enchanting gardens, fabulous cooked breakfast and most of all a very warm welcome from Kim. Inverell is a lovely town but this accommodation is a destination in itself.

Hi Tim, Thank you for your lovely review. I really appreciate your comments and opinion. Especially as you are in a similar business. It was wonderful to have you here for your spontaneous birthday trip! I look forward to seeing you another time. Kind regards, Kim

We thoroughly enjoyed how authentically and beautifully Kim has decorated Blair Athol (was once the home of my great great grandparents -Frederick Castleden) and the hospitality and service matched the excellent surroundings. I'm keen to go back in winter to enjoy the sherry and port by the fireplaces in each room.

Thanks Lyn for your review. It was lovely having a descendent of one of the previous owners stay. I'm sure your great great grandparents would have loved you visiting the 'old family home'. I look forward to seeing you in winter. The fires will be on and the sherry will be poured!! Regards, Kim

We've stayed here a couple of times now & recommend family & friends visiting who would appreciate the experience! Fantastic service, beautiful setting! Have the ability to stay in the manor house or to stay in a separate sleep out type building done up as a great little cabin! A beautiful step back in time!

We were three couples and just loved the history in this place. It was over 40C in town so we were very glad to see the bedrooms are airconditioned. The breakfast (cooked) was excellent as was the coffee. There is easy parking but there are steps for those less abled. The furniture and four poster beds were fantastic. We will...

Hi Mal, Thank you for your lovely review. I'm so glad you and your family had a nice stay. It was ridiculously hot so I'm glad the air-conditioning helped everyone have a pleasant night. It was great having you stay and showing you the Inverell memorabilia. Hope to see you and your family again. Kind regards, Kim

Hubby and I decided to take a short trip away...After searching the internet we found Blair Athol Estate...while we were driving down I emailed to enquire about vacancies. To my pleasure I was answered almost straight away. We arrived earlier then I stated to be welcomed by Kim. You couldn't ask for a better host. We received a warm welcome...

I apologise that this response is late. Thank you for your 'awesome' review. I remember you telling me that you had written a review from the bath. I think that's a first. I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to seeing you both again. Cheers, Kim

We stayed there on our last day in Inverell. The mansion has a beautiful old glorious feel from back in the days. It's very rustic and full of antiques. The rooms are large clean and comfortable. Again old but nice! it was a bit cold though. We had breakfast the next morning it was so yummy. Kim the hostess was...

We stayed with Kim in June for my birthday weekend and what a treat it was. We had a fabulous time and it was more than we could have imagined or even asked for. Her home is amazing and we had such a lovely time. The room was beautiful, bright and open. The bed was fit for a princess. The...

Blair Athol (built 1904). Arrived in torrential rain, cold & wet through. Kim, who could be described as the perfect hostess, showed us into the parlour, where we encountered a lovely open fire and a decanter of sweet sherry. Spacious bedroom, beautifully furnished. Excellent breakfast. Like staying in Downton Abbey. Highly recommend. A really memorable experience.
