We splurged to get an amazing room at the caves house! There was amazing rooms, food and the tours were just perfect. We actually did two very similar tours in two days and cause we had different instructors they were two completely different tours! Just amazing!

Situated at the Caves, this hotel offers the feeling of yesteryear. The rooms are quite small. Our room did have an ensuite which was cramped, but it worked. It is not a modern type of accommodation as in, there is no air conditioning nor a TV. Not having the TV was fine, as you have so much to explore inside...

While we really enjoyed our time exploring the caves and surrounding areas, the accommodation was extremely underwhelming. I love old-styled houses but not when they're not well maintained. The house looks tired and old and in need of some TLC. We booked the Grand Classic room, but it really wasn't worth paying the extra for the king sized bed. The...

My husband and I went to Jenolan Caves and stayed for 2 nights last week at Caves House. We used to visit often but hadn't been there for 11 years. We had a great time and have resolved to come back more often. Caves House has a great character and a real sense of history about it. We stayed in...

By staying in the original guesthouse, while lacking in 5 star creature comforts, such as air conditioning, a swimming pool, in room entertainment, the experience allowed us to really imagine (and feel) the opulence of a bygone era. The architecture is magnificent as are all the internal decorative features such as the woodwork and period furniture. The house and the...

We stayed at Jenolan Cave Cottages for 2 nights in January 2017. I travelled with hubby, my 3 year old, and my 2 nieces 11 and 13. We had an absolutely brilliant time. The cottages are 8 km from Caves House, and all as perfectly described in the reservation confirmation and website. There are 8 self contained cottages are in...

Staying in Jenolan Caves house is an excellent option as there is so much to see here that an in and out visit just doesn't do it justice. The rooms are fairly standard and clean with a fridge available. The downfall is the service in the restaurant, where it is really obvious that some training is required. We were under...

You go to Jenolan for the caves. That's it, caves - stop. The accommodation is old, tired, lacking in investment and bereft of trained staff. Staff are nice, friendly, helpful and trying their best to bumble through jobs for which they have received no training. The quality of the restaurant meals are fine, the service however reflects the training (lack...

I have visited Jenolan Caves House several times in my life. I loved it as a child and I still love it now. Caves House is a beautiful old hotel with authentic furnishings. There are photos and historical objects down every hallway and lots of areas to sit and read or relax. We stayed in the Mountain Lodge. Our bed...

This very old building, recently refurbished, reflects the opulence and g5randeur that must have attracted 6the visitors long ago. The room we were in was spacious and had a radiator system and pipes that were decades old. There was no TV or Wi Fi, for which many thanks. The dining room was vast and one of only two "Grand Dining...
