We went to the V&A for dinner as we were staying in Mount Victoria at a great AirBnB cottage. We choose not to stay here because of the reviews on TA that I had read. There wasnt anything else open and as it turned out it was memorable for the wrong reasons. The food was good - when it eventually...

I have travelled the world and this place has taken the cake, for all the wrong reasons. Overpriced! the place has a smell to it that i guessing its coming from the carpet, not nice. Carpet in the room had that many stains on it, there is nothing to keep to entertained. Pictures must be from when it first opened,...

Just back from another terrific weekend at the Victoria and Albert Guesthouse. Relaxed and friendly staff, delicious dining, loads of character, meticulously clean accomodation together with very reasonable rates make this the perfect place to escape after a hectic week. If however, your priorities for a weekend break in the beautiful Blue Mountains are bedrooms with TVs, Wi-Fi access and...

The Victoria and Albert Guesthouse is just waiting for (and starting to receive) the makeover it deserves. It is a grand old building with a wonderful history but it's past its glory days. It smells old: a combination of dust, cigarette smoke and mould over many years. The furniture and decor are stale. Our room was beyond basic, although the...

Our room was very basic, it had a stale odour, a window that was rotten and no facilities. We had no welcome and had to pay early because they had a new member of staff working the next morning. I was told there was no chef so no dinner options. The breakfast room has cockatoo murals on the walls! The...

I booked this guest house for 3 nights as my husband and I plus our baby were visiting the blue mountains. I booked it as it had a 8.3 rating on booking.com....not sure who's been rating this but these people obviously don't stay at many guest houses! We arrived and were instantly put off as from the outside it looks...

Stayed for one night on the 26th October. The guest house advertises the use of a pool. The pool was green with algae! The room was basic and very dirty, although the bedsheets were clean. The whole place was tired, with paint coming off the ceiling and dirt and dust everywhere. Breakfast was a joke. There were four in my...

We stayed here for one night with 2 couples and were more than disappointed! There were lots of cobwebs all over the place. Carpets look terrible and you could write in the dust. Paint is coming of the wall as well as the blinds looked pretty sad and broken. Windows and doors dont shut properly. The balcony doesnt look very...

Charming 1914 guesthouse, we stayed one night in a standard room with ensuite and really enjoyed it. It is old style, not some glitzy boutique bnb, but it's affordable and we found it charming. Staff were friendly, and it's in a good location just off the highway, a short walk to the pub, the few shops and cafes of Mt...
