Took the family here for dinner recently and had a good meal in their lovely environment. Prices were as expected, meals were quite big and very nice. Kids were welcome and we would recommend going here for dinner.

Clean, spacious and lovely old charm rooms away from traffic noise. Being 1st January the kitchen was closed and we couldn't try the food but the owners went out of their way to find us fresh bread for breakfast.

As we were staying at the Walcha Royal Café there restaurant wasn't open that night (Monday). Another traveller mentioned the Commercial Hotel. Wow is all I can say when we entered. It was buzzing with people eating dinner there, a huge fireplace warming the place. Great prices for meals and yummo, so I am assuming it attracts locals a lot....

Food in this hotel pleasantly surprising, stayed here for four nights and tried something different from the menu each time and found it would take a hard marker not to rate the restaurant side of this hotel five stars. Bar has cold beer but not a great deal to choose from if your after wine or spirits, publican (kristian) is...

What an awesome pub. The food was really good, the publican was a great bloke. He kept the bar open for us boys when everyone else had gone. Next time when the boys are riding through town, we will be booking rooms to stay the night.

Ate here over three nights during recent business stay in Walcha. Had the t-bone twice and the Chicken breast parma. The t-bone cooked to perfection both times. The chicken also well cooked. Meals were very generous portion sizes. You will not go away hungry. So good I didn't try elsewhere in town. Try the Apple and rhubarb crumble if you...

Arrived to find washing hanging off the upstairs railings and the kitchen area filthy with dirty dishes in the sink and scraps of food lying around, two cats had run of house and the owner was missing the hospitality gene. The room was ok and the bed comfortable. It was meant to be bed and breakfast but there was no...

Our family of five had a range of standard pub grub dishes plus a couple of specials. Chicken Parma and Chicken Snitz were great, the deep fried Snapper and Thai Green Chicken Curry were surgery for pub food. Highly recommended if your travelling the Oxley Hwy and looking for a good feed.

Located in the centre of Walcha this pub is great. Rooms are clean and good sized, great choice of beers on tap too. We paid $85 for a queen room with a bathroom next door (like an ensuite) and perfect for stopping over on the way through to Tamworth or Port Macquarie. If you have a motor bike they can...

After setting in the bar was full of friendly locals, bar staff and the owner Christian was there for a chat..a top bloke. Food was excellent Nd quality you would expext in...
