My partner and I stayed 2 nights at the Adventure Ray Retreat spa cottage. This place is incredible. There is a wonderful king sized bed with crisp white linen looking out on the field through sliding glass doors (perfect for a nap on a rainy afternoon!) The wood burner (with a plentiful supply of wood) was much appreciated and the...

I just concur with others--that Jan has done an excellent job in making the cottage a very comfortable and pleasant place to stay. My wife and I very much enjoyed getting out on Bruny Island, but sometimes regretted that we didn't leave enough time just to hang out at the Retreat. It's very thoughtfully and tastefully managed.

We loved our time at Adventure Bay Retreat. Everything was beautifully appointed and although close to the general store and amongst houses, the setting made us feel miles away. The little hut is the perfect spot for long Winter days.

First Class Jan. My wife found this gem and had three key criteria: relax, white wallaby and activities. The accommodation (Spa Cottage) was everything you could want comfortable, all the amenities you could want and extremely relaxing. The wildlife was extraordinary and yes 4 white wallabies plus many others, right to the cottage door. Plenty of walking tracks, beaches and...

My husband and I stayed in the Lodge at the Retreat for 5 days recently. The owners Jan and her husband had thoughtfully arranged all you could want for a relaxing holiday. The fireplace was ready to go when we arrived at 8:30pm, the heat pump was already on and we were quickly feeling cosy. Then of course we woke...

The cottage was just perfect for us, we did a number of rugged hikes on Bruny as well as visiting all major points of interest and the ability to relax beside the fire with a drink in the evening was bliss. We were left to ourselves to enjoy the comforts the cottage provided, such as full facilities for cooking, TV,...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Such a wonderful place to stay with all the wildlife . Everything you could wish for. 3 large bedrooms, modern kitchen, large dining area. Outside deck to sit and watch the wallabies. Yes, I shall return.

Have now been to this place many times over the years and my husband and I feel it is just the best place on Bruny Island to relax, enjoy time and privacy. Everything in the Lodge has been considered and thoughtfully designed. The owners have left nothing off the "I want list." We have stayed at other places on Bruny...

Six star would still under rate this magnificent property. We took the whole family and hired both the Lodge and the cabin. Every need catered for and superb in ever respect. If you want to make your visit to Bruny special then this is the place to stay. There is always a downside and the one here is having to...

Adventure Bay Retreat is lovely but I feel the word 'luxury' is being thrown around too loosely when it comes to accommodation. That said, it is possibly the only luxury accommodation on Bruny Island but one has to compare to other places in Australia, and the world. Unfortunately our stay wasn't without its glitches and whilst I tried to resolve...
