We walked in off the street to get a room after getting stuck in Tasmania during the recent flooding. We had no problem getting a family room with a double bed, table and chairs in the main room and a separate bedroom. It was a good size but the carpet definitely needed cleaned and although advertised as 'recently renovated' the...

We were offered a special on a king room, and after the two [VERY close] night clubs started in the evening, we realised why the cheap rate. The nightclubs continued their 'doof doof' until approx. 5am ! We mentioned it to the staff in the morning, and they were 1. not apologetic for not mentioning it, and 2. were actually...

Rooms are ok and bed was very comfortable but you can't open the window so it is stuffy, I had to put on the aircon in Tasmania in winter! Eating in the restaurant very disappointing, we waited 50 minutes for entree after ordering, restaurant was not busy, 9pm by the time we were served.

Thank you for your feedback. We have taken it on board. It is very unusual for us to have slow food service and we apologize for this, it had been an extremely busy night. We hope to see you again.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as my husband was sent to work in Burnie. The hotel is near an intersection and we could hear loud motorbikes every night. The housekeeper didn't do a good job in servicing the room i.e. no clean towels provided, no vacuum, no milk top up, no tissue, no shampoo etc. The only...

Whilst I haven't stayed here, I have dined here a few times with work colleagues who have been staying here. The bar staff are lovely and always make you feel welcome. The restaurant and bar area have been tastefully renovated in recent times. The menu is modern Australian, and all meals are of a high standard and certainly are filling....

The rooms are a little dated but reasonably clean except for the shower & bath that needed a good scrub. Came back from breakfast to find one of our beds made and the other untouched. Breakfast was ok, but like a lot of the hotel, a little more care with details is needed. It has potential to be a basic...

Lame menu. Large (main course) plate of pork ribs for $37???!!! Why, that's almost the price 'The Black Cow Bistro' would charge for Top-of-the-Range Wagyu Beef!!!! For that price I expected to see a feast! Overflowing plate of ribs stacked high (at LEAST two racks), cooked to perfection, seared on the hot grill to give it that nice bbq'd flavour,...
