The cabins were clean and comfortable, and they had all of the necessities in them for your stay. I'd stay here again. Check in and check out was easy. It's nice and peaceful here, little shop at reception and laundry facilities available also.

My family and I just stayed for one night Sunday July 5th and was pleasantly surprised at the features of our cabin for the money spent. Gas log heater and electric panel heater were going upon arrival, electric blankets on both beds even though the website indicated just one electric blanket, PlayStation 4 in cabin(controllers and games available to rent at reception) for those rainy days or nights spent in the cabin, nice sized shower, lovely recliner couch and modern tv. We had wallabies come up to our cabin so we gave them some small amounts of bananas which was a lovely experience for our kids. Across the road from the visitor centre which shuttles people down to dove lake and surrounds. we will be back and next time we will stay a few nights. great job discovery parks cradle mountain.

We stayed two nights on a good-sized powered site in our renovated bus and would have had enough room to pull out awning if needed. Each site made private by surrounding shrubs etc. Beautiful bush setting.
Pademelons roamed throughout bushland.
The large camp kitchen is built of stone with pitched roof and contained open fire, bbq plates, stove-top, toaster and microwave. Lovey warm ambience on cold day.
The amenities block was extremely clean and also built from stone - fitting in with the bush setting, water pressure was great, timed showers. A little wet underfoot when walking to and from amenities block.
More pricey than other parks at approx $55 per night but would have to be one of the best parks we've stayed at.
Wifi available from kiosk/reception area only.
Walking distance to the visitors centre, shuttle bus and Devils@cradle.
Would definitely stay again.

We booked the standard cottage using a discount code on the Discovery website - it was a great deal ($107 a night) and good that you are looking after the locals. The location is great as it is very close to the park visitor centre. The cabin is functional and we chose it as it has a full oven and fridge and we wanted to cook. There is a wall heater, gas heater and electric blankets so you will keep warm. The bathroom is large and had a shower with plenty of hot water.

Small issue - there was some water damage in the bedroom cupboards. Also the cottages are a little close together in some places - we wish they had spaced them out more.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back for a similar price.

We really enjoyed our stay. The 2 bedrooms villa is clean and comfortable for three of us. The kitchen amenities are basic and sufficient for us to prepare all our meals. Please bring scissors and sharp knives to use in the kitchen. No dishwasher. You need to boil drinking water. The heating pad on the bed is so nice when it is cold. The cabin can be heated well so we are comfortable. It is 10 min walk to the shuttle service to access the wonderful hiking trails and wildlife. We saw the possums at night outside the door. There are wallabies, pademelons and echidnas near the reception area. There is no free WiFi at the cabin but you can get free WiFi 5 walk to the reception area. The reception is well stocked with milk, ice cream, wine, etc.

Found someone’s lost sock in the corner of the main bedroom amongst the dust, next to the wardrobe behind the extra kitchen chair. It was obvious the kitchen chair had not been moved for sometime. Two chairs were stored in the bedroom, one either side of the free standing wardrobe. It was dusty behind each chair as was the area on the left hand side of the bed under the corner shelf. I felt sick looking at the underside of the dirty plastic colander in the kitchen. It was slimy with an algae type substance. I felt that I had to wash the whole of the kitchen utensils after washing the colander. I complained to the park manager within the first 24 hours. He asked whether our cabin contained a card identifying who cleaned the cabin. I told him that the card was in our cabin. We haven’t had any follow up in 6 days. (checked out but they have our contact details).

I expected the cabin to be clean particularly in light of the Covid situation, I would not recommend this accomodation given the obvious lack of cleanliness.

The park is within walking distance to the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre.

We booked a standard cabin for a few days and were pleasantly surprised by the level of facilities provided. The room had adequate heating/cooling and kitchen utensils with a well stocked shop onsite. The shower was perfect after a day's hike in the mountain in both heat and pressure. The location is also a very short drive (with wombats along the way) to the tourist centre. I would certainly book this accommodation again!

We stayed here recently on a powered campsite. We had a large family tent which barely fit on the site! The campsites are very private with bush separating each site, and although our site was fairly large, it was in a weird V shape which made it difficult to position our tent. Half the ground was gravel and almost impossible to peg into and the other half was super soft red dirt. We had to use rocks to weigh down one corner of the tent as there was no way a peg was going in! Because everything is so spaced out it was about a 250 metre walk to the amenities (which is not fun on a freezing cold night!) The camp kitchen was good with a warm welcoming fireplace, however gets very crowded in the mornings and evenings as it's too cold to be outside! While we were courteous and would clear the table as soon as we finished our meal, others would grab a table and take it up for the whole night with some people dumping their things on a table early in the evening to reserve a spot, making it difficult for others who just wanted to make a quick meal. The park location was great, right across the road from the Visitors Centre, making it easy to access the shuttle bus to Cradle Mountain. I feel however the campsites here are only suited to caravans, motorhomes or small hiking tents. If I had known prior what the site was like I would have booked a cabin instead or stayed elsewhere. They also had a weird rule about not putting up temporary clotheslines (ie ropes etc) at your campsite. We ignored this rule as we could only find one clothesline in the whole place and it was a 250 metre walk away! I also feel with such a large park they needed more smaller amenities (even just a single toilet) scattered throughout the park as it was such a long walk to get there, especially when you have small children needing to go at different times! There was not even a toilet near the camp kitchen. It was another 200 metres walk away.

Had 2 nights at Discovery parks Cradle mountain . Great location Staff are super friendly or cabin was nice and warm all the conveniences of home apart from wifi but we loved that as kids actually got off their devices . Lots of walks lots of wildlife just beautiful.
only issue we had was the bed as we are tall it was a bit small and hard we slept on couch.
And people need to learn to park where they are allocated not block the hole area off .
Apart from that highly recommend

We stayed at this caravan park for 3 nights in an unpowered site.
While the site we chose was on a bit of a slope the area was beautiful. Birds and hopping animals were abundant.
The amenities were good, clean, showers were hot. The kitchen was large with plenty of power points to charge devices. There were at least 2 kitchens that we saw and each had 2 microwave ovens which was great. There was plenty of space for washing up. The kitchens had a central fire place for cold winters nights.
The park as a whole was clean and tidy with the bins been emptied every day in the kitchen.
The location of the park was excelent. It was virtually accross the road from the Cradle Mountain visitor centre which was great as it meant we could just park the car and use the free shuttle service to do walks in the park. The location also allowed us to see the wombats grazing at Ronnies Creek in the evening which was so cool!!!

Hi, the cabin we had was with a car park at the front. The second room was 4 single bunks, 2 bottom, 2 top. I think I remember there being a heater but don't recall aircon (mainly because we didn't use it). Hope this helps.
