Our party of seven spent 3 nights here. Cabins are clean and functional. Mick and Marianne gave great advice for places to go and things to do. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our visit memorable. Thanks...More
Booked the deluxe cabin + car hire, picked up from the airport by Marianne. Great cabin, very roomy & comfortable bed with small patios out back & front set amongst manicured gardens full of flowers & bird life. Nothing too difficult, a mine of info...More
Great! That's the word.
Mike and Maryanne provided great accommodation, information but most of all they were so obliging; want to cook a pizza? they found an oven!
Once you're assured you have a bed and ensuite you're set to go exploring.

Right next to the airport, central location. Mick & Marianne were helpful and friendly. Cabin was simply furnished but adequate for our needs. The air cond didn't work but Mick brought a portable unit to us right away and it worked very well.

I always suggest after Easter, the reasons being that the island has less visitors so you can enjoy the peace and great natural beauty that the island offers with the chance of not seeing another visitor and the weather is usually pretty good. if you are come to just relax and enjoy the island with no one around then late Autumn and early Winter is good. Sharp Airlines fly from Launceston to both King and Flinders Islands so you could do the Flinders Island visit and then pretty much fly straight to King via Launceston. They fly to Flinders from Essendon so you can work around departing from either Launceston or Essendon if you are visiting Flinders first.
