Accommodation accurately described; very well equipped and comfortable base for exploring the Far South. Eco-system directions clear and all appliances worked well. Stunning, ever-changing views in all directions.

This is a great place to stay when you want some peace and quiet. To be able to stop and listen to the rain gently fall without the intrusion of a busy daily life. Relax with one of several easy bush walks and fill your lungs with the fresh clean air!!

Hi Jason, So glad that you took the walk to Mount Misery to "...fill your lungs with the fresh clean air..." When standing on Mount Misery and looking west, you see the mountains of the World Heritage Southwest Wilderness Area. Amongst the cleanest air in the world. Thanks for enjoying it. Paul D

The perfect retreat for my wife and 10mth old for our 1st year wedding anniversary. Great Teepee set up in secluded and peaceful bush setting. Wildlife in abundance and the host are respectful and very welcoming. The property is respectful of the environment and great to see the conscious thought shown when respecting the traditional owners of the land and...

Hi SNP, Thanks for staying in our deluxe teepee at Huon Bush Retreats. We are glad that appreciated the eco-friendly facilities and the Aboriginal aspects of our interpretive information. When setting up the property, we engaged with the local Aboriginal community. They asked that we avoid a few specific areas and they shared a few traditional stories with us. These...

Thank you for a relaxing stay high up in the mountain. Very peaceful and quite. Wildlife come to visit at night, very cute. Driveway a bit steep but just take it slow. Our stay was a bit cold so the fireplace was perfect. Upon our arrival the fireplace was prepared for lighting. Thank you

We stayed with Paul and Michael for 3 wonderful days in September. The facilities are lovely, the environment is natural and peaceful. We saw lots of wildlife, which was a highlight for us. This is a gorgeous untainted part of Tasmania. We had a fabulous stay.

Stayed in Teepee. A great relaxing retreat in the bush surrounded by sometimes rather cheeky and inquisitive marsupials and birds. There is even a 3ish hour return bush walk from the property. Really nice stay. Glamping at its best. A fire in the teepee with lots of wood to keep warm.

My partner and I were blown away with just how beautiful the setting is in the Huon Valley. I met Michael when we were checking in and it was like being welcomed in to his very own home. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a secluded get away, having a bath outside and under moonlight is a great...

The cabin was nestled in amongst a totally private bush setting with all the basic comforts of home, lovely wood heater, comfy bed and 2 x lounges to sprawl out on whilst taking in the rain forest view. Same view from the shower..... The bath on the deck was...

Hi Basil, Yes, winter is a great time to relax in front of the wood fired heater. I reckon the waterfall would have been flowing nicely after the recent rains. We look forward to seeing you again next year, Thanks for your visit and review, Paul D

My partner and I stayed in the streamside cabin over the long weekend. It was beautiful and quiet. Being able to disconnect and reset was exactly what we were after. We took the walk up to mount misery which was worth the journey.
