We were in Tasmania's Channel District to feed a pet rabbit whilst it's owner was away for a few days. As it was lunch time we looked for a lunch stop, and found the Oyster Cove Inn. I remembered the pub from many years ago as the Kettering Hotel, but what a transformation! The rear of the old hotel has...

We stayed one night after driving from the ship in devonport. Very tired and welcomed by excellent courteous staff. The accommodation exceeded expectations and was reasonably priced. The food was indescribable best dining experience, would highly recommend, not discounting the beautiful view over the bay.

Decided to have dinner at the Inn after arriving back on the ferry from Bruny Island. It was 5:30pm and even though we didn’t have a booking there was no issue with space. Our early time meant that meals were brought out quickly. I had the Tasmanian smoked salmon salad which hit the spot. Salmon paired with toasted prosciutto, feta,...

Don't think about dining at the Oyster Cove Inn, just get off ya butt and get it in there. Without a doubt the best dining experience for my family in years. The location, atmosphere and view are superb. As is the dining room. Excellent staff and top service. A lot of choice between the menu and the blackboard so plenty...

Stopped here for the night before going to Bruny Island the next day. We booked a room with a queen and 2 singles for thd night for $150. Basic room, a bit squishy with all of us but we're just sleeping here so no drama. Had an ensuite, small but adequate. Fridge provided, tea and coffee. Great view. No airconditioning,...

Excellent setting, great views from the restaurant over the marina. Casual, family friendly atmosphere with good selection of dishes. Food was so fresh, tasted fantastic and well presented. Entree oysters and calamari delicious so fresh. Seafood platter was one of the best I've seen, lamb shanks fell off the bone and chicken schnitzel with garlic prawns yummo. Service was good,...

Great spot , right on the bay, just near the Bruny Island ferry landing. Old but comfortable room at reasonable prices. Great meals, the local scollops were a stand out. Very freindly staff, could not be more helpful. Found secure undercover parking for our bikes. The barman who went to school with Princess Mary was a star, nearly as good...

Stopped in to have a meal with the family and watch the footy. Warm, friendly and good food. Owners run the place. It's we'll managed and nothing was too much trouble. Meals out quickly, good size and the beers were cold. Overall o thought it was well worth a visit. Enjoy.

Meals were fair and the view was lovely. However, the publican was unhelpful, uninterested and less than friendly. This was the worst we visited during our five weeks in Tasmania. We won't be back nor suggesting it to fellow travellers. Such a shame as it has great potential.

All in all the food is acceptable for a pub setting. I thought it was crazy when I ordered soup that it would come out as an entree however they bought it out with my main together. Charging $14 for soup pretty high but was quite well prepared so it made up for it a bit. The publican is not...
