This was our second stay at Tynwald, and again we enjoyed a fabulous stay. The hotel is a beautiful historic home that is authentically furnished with antiques and interesting curios. On our first visit we booked a room on the ground floor that had an ensuite. It was a lovely room but this time we chose a room on the...

Couldn't get accommodation in Hobart so the Tourist Centre got us into New Norfolk. Lovely historic home - the place was full and we dined in at their little restaurant so got to know the others staying there. Restuarant prices a bit expensive for what you got but the atmosphere and company was worth the dollars - wine was beautiful!...

No doubt Tynwald would not appeal to everybody but we 3 "oldies" all enjoyed our stay. There is a lot of furniture & bits & pieces everywhere but it all suits the nature of the house. There is no musty smell or dusty accessories, I can only imagine the amount of work that goes into keeping it clean. There is...

Great experience. Didn't book and arrived on a thundering motorbike at 10pm desperate for a Room and they were able to accommodate. A beautiful elegant room with an amazing bed: it was heaven. Breakfast the next day was sumptuous and 5 star. Well done folks! 10/10

I stumbled across this pace on TripAdvisor when searching for restaurants in and around New Norfolk. I loved the look of the building and read a few review so called to make a reservation for dinner. We visited on a Friday night and there was only one other couple dining when we arrived around 7pm. We shared the tasting plate...

In a word .... AMAZING. I just loved loved loved this place. First of all the house is just beautiful. A majestic 1800's restoration. It is also in an awesome location nestled into the valley with awesome views. Of course if you come here at night you won't see the surrounding countryside. But then you step, inside to a different era...

We have nothing but good things to say about this delightful house and the hospitality. Wonderful accommodation, food, value for money and the gardens that ran down to the River Derwent. See our Google review. Can't think how the really mean people who reviewed on Trip Advisor could possibly claim that their experience was so bad. Something going on there,...
