We spend two nights in this unusual B&B in a quiet street off the New Norfolk to Hobart Road. The town itself oozes history and is ideally located overlooking the Derwent River. The building itself was built in 1815 and over many years converted by convicts to a colonial house. There is adequate parking outside and access to the accommodation is...

Thank you so much for your comments. The reason for Breakfast in rooms at the moment ,as I explained owing to a recently broken Collarbone am unable to carry Trays etc. over Courtyard which is a fair way from Kitchen. However soon to be changed back to Dining room. So lovely to hear your other comments, we are so glad...

So nice to escape the hotel/motel same same experience. This is a welcoming quirky B&B steeped in history, which had an orginal Oust house. The gem is, not just the ability to buy an antique or two, but, the delightfully moreish home cooking (lamb shanks!!).

This was definitely the most amazingly unique B & B we have ever stayed in. The owners are just charming and despite the place being out of yesteryear it was like stepping back into a bygone era. Lydia is a collector of beautiful old china, photos and lots more. The antique doll's house was just amazing. Our room was different...

Very interesting old building - room was clean and very comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was adequate for us with a good variety of cereal - we had an evening meal which was lovely, service was good with our steaks cooked how we asked . Owners very very friendly and helpful. Parking was in quiet street next to hotel....

Extremely friendly hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Quiet, very comfortable, very interesting place to stay with antique store downstairs. Only three rooms - I think - so very personal. Parking is on the quiet street outside, there are stairs but there is an entry and exit on the flat if you need it. The generous breakfast was in the...

A little disappointing. Very friendly host, but way too much junk, not much room to move. The dinner just average. Breakfast a let down, the milk tasted like powdered milk, I was expecting a hot breakfast.

Stayed a night here on a recent Tasmania tour. Easy to find, just off the main road, with parking on the street. Owners were friendly, and courteous. We were given a different (and bigger) room to the one we booked, as they weren't full that night and the owners thought we'd prefer not be be in a room next to...

Different room than our last visit in November 2015. My wife preferred this one, slightly roomier. Nice modern ensuite. Friendly greeting, generous breakfast provisions included in tariff. Short walk to The historic Bush Inn where we had our evening meal and about the same distance to the small "CBD" where there are various food options. This place and the Bush...

The Inn is certainly a colonial experience. The hosts are very welcoming and the accommodation in the old part of the inn is clean and colourful with many touches of country charm, perhaps a little too many! There are antiques scattered around the complex making the stay unusual and interesting. There is a restaurant which serves a basic menu. The...

This charming Inn was one of the most delightful places we have ever found. The exceptional warm and friendly owners could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Even though we arrived latish in the evening, and they were more than happy to provide us with a delicious dinner. Breakfast was more than adequate and was served in...
