A delightful getaway in a beautiful heritage mansion dating back to 1817. A cosy and warm vantage point to enjoy the autumn colours in the Derwent Valley. Host Lisa generously upgraded us to the largest room as we were the only guests this weekend! Her hearty dinners, using local and homegrown produce, were amazing and generous, as were the breakfasts....

Lisa's bubbly and warm welcome, sets the stage for a fabulous stay. We just love it here, this is the second time we have stayed and it will not be the last. It is just superb. We stayed in the Berry and Finch room and it is excellent. Everything is clean, warm, comfortable and beautifully presented. The total experience is...

Apart from being a stunning house with the most beautiful surroundings the hi light for me was meeting the spirit of Tasmania in our beautiful hostess Lisa. She made us feel so welcome from the time we arrived to the time we left. Her breakfasts were to die for and we were lucky enough to try her two course dinner...

The house is 200 years old. A beautiful quiet place to stay. Breakfast was amazing. Stayed here whilst completing class at Agrigarian Kitchen. Close by and easy drive. Highly recommended - Lisa is a fantastic host.

We spent one night on one room and then came back for a night in the bedroom en suite. Lisa gives you a great welcome. There is a tea room with tea, coffee and homemade biscuits. You can also buy beer and wine. Breakfast is made with locally sourced ingredients. Lisa will also cook evening meals which are delicious.

We stayed in the Finch and Cherry, and Sparrow and Sage rooms for 2 nights in February. From the time Lisa gave us a warm welcome at the door we felt at home. This 200 year old Heritage Home is full of Tasmanian history (including being robbed by the bushranger Martin Cash in the 1800's!). The rooms are beautifully decorated...

Stanton B&B is a real treat. An hours drive from Hobart and very close to New Norfolk Stanton is a beautiful old home and Lisa is a fabulous host. We had a lovely comfy bed and the most delicious breakfast cooked to order. There is a warm and inviting guest lounge with a wood fire and a complimentary glass of...

This is a thoughtfully run Bed and Breakfast. Four of us stayed in early March. An enthusiastic welcome from the owner in the wood heated entry set the tone. Home made biscuits, included in the tea and coffee room adjacent to the upstairs verandah, were welcome on arrival. There are some in the downstairs lounge to accompany the compliementary port...

Lisa and staff looked after us exceptionally well during our recent 2 night stay at Stanton. The beautiful old house is sensitively decorated and the grounds provide a relaxing backdrop for a restful break. Breakfast and dinner were sumptuous and in context with the location. We enjoyed our stay very much.
