Great village to visit, traditional old sandstone buildings, and nice gift shops to browse. The wool shop museum is really interesting and well worth the time, interesting display of different grades of wool. The Bakery is worth the short detour of its own volition however; reasonably priced and delicious!

This is one of my favourite cartoons when I was a child. when I saw the brick oven in the kitchen, it's exactly the same as that in the movie!! the environment is so chill in here, quiet little town, everything seems so simple in here. For the food, not a big vow. Without this Japanese anime linkage, I would...

Been there 3yrs ago, had very good vanilla slice, yes could clearly see that they used real vanilla bean in it. 3yrs later, revisiting this place, packed with tourists, more pricey, vanilla slice not so good anymore, charged 10$ for pretty sad looking vegetable soup, if I ever go back to Ross, I shall give this place a pass, sad...

There are two bakeries in Ross - we had stopped at the one at 31 Church St. before so thought we would try the Bakery Inn at number 15 this time for breakfast. The coffee will wake you up - very strong! Varied selection of cakes, pies, rolls and some cooked options. It was ok but nothing special and somewhat...

Reasonably priced, vanilla slice was very good. Coffees were also good. Certainly worth stopping here if travelling on a long journey across Tasmania. Cute village with some beautiful stone housing and bridge.

Had to stop and try the what was claimed to be the worlds best Vanilla slice and my work colleagues agreed that it is. I didn't feel like anything sweet so chose the $10 soup with roll and i thought it was good. Not great, but good. Definitely tasty enough to satisfy. They served strong coffee that also hit the...

I purchased a $10 vegetable soup and received water with finely diced frozen vegetables. No seasoning or flavour and the accompanying 'sourdough' was equally as disappointing and flavourless. Do yourself a favour and head to the other bakery in town.

This bakery is absolutely wonderful. The service is fast and friendly and they had a great variety to choose from. They also have great coffee. They even let us take a photo of the old bread oven out the back. Would definitely go back. And the town is beautiful.

Good stop over point from Launceston to Hobart. We had brekkie here and weren't disappointed. The staff were warm and friendly, the eating room was cosy and the food was delish! Leave time to explore Ross!
