We booked the Admiral Suite with views across the bay. The suite is clean, beautifully appointed with nice little touches and it's a very relaxing place. Rhonda and Chris were very friendly and welcoming hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent and shared with other guests we really enjoyed our stay in this gem!

Thank you to our hosts Christer and Rhonda for making our stay in Stanley so comfortable. The room is beautifully presented and thoughtfully equipped. The bathroom is enormous and the double shower, hairdryer, straightener and make up mirror were very much appreciated. Our room had wonderful views over the bay and our own little verandah to admire them from. You...

Can't remember any accommodation being better than this in our lifetime. Our hosts Christer and Rhonda have done a superb job on what would have to be a labour of love with The Ark. Gracious hosts who enjoy your company, only issue the stay was too short.

We were recommended this place by Hayley at Planning at Tasmania. Well what a little gem it was with views to die for. We had the Admiral suite which had uninterrupted views of the bay with a balcony that we used each night to enjoy a glass of wine. Bedroom living room and bathroom were huge with very modern facilities....

Waterfront luxury, great views of Stanley harbour. The rooms are awesome, better than a lot of 5 star so called big named hotels, a lot a thought went into renovating this place with guests needs in mind. Your hosts are present when breakfast is served and they will make you a great coffee not to mention the all the wonderful...

Very nice accommodation with nice rooms. Our room had a great view across the bay. The bathroom is quite big with a shower for two people. The room itself has a normal size. All is clean and seems to be quite new.

We 'stumbled' upon The Ark on a recent trip to Tasmania's beautiful north-west. We were in luck - the Admiral Room was available. This place is to die for - views from the room overlooking the bay. A lovely little place to sit on the verandah out front - to take in the sunset over a glass of wine. The...

This place had such good reviews that we couldn't wait to visit, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The location of this quaint old house is right on the main road. There were cars and the occasional truck going past late into the night and then again in the very early morning, so it was not the quiet peaceful rest that...

On a recent trip to Tassie we stayed at The Ark Stanley. What a wonderful place to stay! The Admiral Room is immaculate and no detail had been overlooked. Decor is fitting to the theme and design of the room. This room has its own lounge room, ensuite and breathtaking views over the bay. There is also a balcony to...

This is a beautiful property, centrally located in Stanley with stunning views also. The Admiral Suite was a good size, with a balcony from which to take in the beautiful sunsets. The Ark is recently renovated, with excellent resources, very clean and comfortable.

The Guest House The Ark Stanley is situated in Stanley Tasmania, a restored period residence, positioned directly opposite Tatlow’s Beach and at the base of the plug of an extinct volcano standing approximately 150 metres high, known as The Nut. Our location takes in sweeping views across Sawyers Bay, and of course upward to the impressive and towering Nut. The residence has recently been tastefully restored, renovated and enhanced.
