Sandpiper cabin right on the sand dunes was perfectly located, with sparkling water views and everything needed provided in the cabin. A lovely deck to sit outside and admire the view was just perfect. Located on the road to Stanley, (well away from the road with no traffic noise at all) and just a few minutes drive into the town...

Hi Jampot666, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Sandpiper is always a popular choice with it's views along the beach and very private deck area. We try to provide all amenities for guests to self-cater as most do not want to eat out every night. Traffic noise is never a problem staying on a rural property,...

We stayed for two nights at Beachside Resort in the Sandpiper Lodge. Both Chris and Jeanette Bishop were there to greet us upon our arrival and showed us to the lodge. We were immediately struck by the unique, creative and superbly constructed lodge. Chris gave us a very comprehensive description of how every thing worked within the lodge before leaving...

Hi Janet W, Thank you for your much appreciated review. We have tried to create something unique here, in the construction of the cabins and the way they fit into and complement the environment. We have utilized the beach stone and basalt rocks, which are plentiful on the property and the natural colours were chosen to fit in with the...

Beachside Retreat West Inlet ist well worth visitig it - very calm and suitable for relaxing and recovering. We only spent two nights in the Pelican cabin, but had a great time. There aren't many chances to have a shower while looking at the beach, but in the Inlet it is possible :) Surrounded by beautiful plants and often accompanied...

Hi Katrin F, Thank you for writing a review. The secluded location here makes for relaxing downtime, with the wildlife never very far away, especially at dusk. All the windows of each cabin overlook the deserted beach, giving a feeling of isolation and solitude, just right for enjoying a peaceful, well-earned getaway. We are pleased that you enjoyed Xanders Restaurant...

Accommodation accessible for people in wheelchairs but definitely not wheelchair friendly. Large bathroom in the three bedroom unit could definitely accommodate an accessible shower without compromising space for the spa. Although it is detailed on the website the accessible bathroom is separate, it was extremely unpleasant to have to go down the road to use the shower- especially in the...

Hi AngelaJ, I am sorry that you were disappointed with your stay here and the normally, cool Tasmanian spring weather, but hope that you enjoyed our fresh farm produce, complimentary pick up in Stanley and the drive around the Green Hills in our new tour vehicle. Please thank Jan, the lovely lady in the wheel chair, who handed me a...

what a beautiful place to stay. amazing wildlife and fresh air. very sad we only booked 2 night in 'Sea Eagle'. we walked out at low tide to go oyster digging, or just walk along the beach to enjoy the beautiful scenery. All in all, this unexpected gem was a great find. would def recommend to friends.

Hi JoanneL, This is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt places on earth; fresh air, deserted beaches and wild oysters to pick from the rocks. Quiet, private and serene. There is nowhere better for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Thank you for your review and we hope to welcome you back before long. Regards Janette

Do you need a chance to enjoy some earthly delights? "Oystercatcher" cottage at Beachside Retreat West Inlet on the isthmus to Stanley Tasmania is just such a place. To be greeted in the evening by the chocolate brown wallbies is just the start, the smell of the sea to wash away the daily cares, and the background symphony of the...

Hi Leon G, Thank you for your review and beach images which look good even in Winter. Oystercatcher and Sandpiper are a pigeon pair of ecocabins, with a slightly differing view the only difference. Glad you enjoyed your walk along the beach, devoid of humans, yet crowded with the traditional maritime and feathered residents. Looking forward to seeing you on...

We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay in the 'Sea Eagle' unit. The unit was very well appointed, light, airy and nothing spared on hte quality of the fittings and equiptment. Highly recommended both in winter or summer.

Hi HarryG, Thank you for your review. Sea Eagle is our top-of-the-range beach house and has its own hot tub on the dunes overlooking the sea below. It was not in use when you visited, but will be heated from October 1st. Our new lap pool and spa will also be open this season for adult guests to enjoy. Thank...

Beautiful location and extremely well constructed cabins. The pictures of the cabins look really nice, but they don't do justice to the actual place.
