We really enjoyed our 2 night stopover in the charming town of Stanley, particularly our accommodation in this lovely period cottage. Great views, thoughtfully and tastefully furnished, with super comfortable beds and a large spacious bathroom.. Located under the Nut on the Main Street, easybwalking to all the charming stores and great restaurants. And really good wifi too! Highly recommend!

Stanley was just going to be a stopover. As soon as we walked into the charming and spacious cottage we felt relaxed and comfortable. The cottage was very well apppinted, detailed and clean. I think I would like to retire Stanley...

We were in Abbeys on the Terrace and cottage with 2 bedrooms and all the facilities. it sits nestled under the Nut and we were able to walk all over Stanley with ease. The garden was also well cared for and very pretty. It had a rotary hoist which was nice to hang out the clothes in good weather. The main...

We only had one night here but wished, as soon as we had arrived, that we were staying longer. There was a lovely combustion fire glowing on arrival and there was complimentary port available too. The rooms were very spacious and decorated in style. It had a cosy feel to the house with lovely views over the bay. It would...

The Green House is run by the Stanley Hotel. I booked to stay here for 5 days, upon my initial contact I asked if would be able to occupy my original booking (Pol Cottage) at approximately 1000. I was informed that would not be a problem. When I arrived I was told that the Pol Cottage would not be available...

We stayed at 'the Bakery cottage', comfortable and clean, it provided us with everything we needed for our 2 nights stay. Perfect location and great service, friendly staff and welcoming locals. We loved Stanley!

We were booked for one night at Pol and Pen Cottage, but were delightfully upgraded to the Spa Cottage. What a beautiful place; overlooking the harbour, across the road from Moby Dick's for breakfast! This is a well furnished historic house with three bedrooms and everything you might need. Electric blankets were just perfect on a cold night and the...

We opened the door of the Green House and felt like we had stepped back in time. What a beautiful cottage. It was just how I imagined it would be, warm and welcoming. I couldn't wait to go and look out of the windows in the top floor bedrooms. This cottage has all that you need. Some modern touches and...

Abbeys The Green House in Stanley is an acquired taste we feel but fine for a few days. Stanley is a beautiful little town with amazing sea views either side of the peninsula and the “Nut”, large rock at the head. This sleepy little town (completely dead after 8pm) would make a great base for two to three days with...

Towards the end of a 2 week travelling holiday around Tasmania and we wanted to return to this out of the way sleepy historic village. Stanley didn't disappoint. Just charming with nice shops and restaurants plus "The Nut" (which was literally in the back yard of Abbey's Cottage) a stand out. The cottage itself is an old mid 1800's workers...
