We had a suite on the upper floors, so had a nice view out over the harbour. A bit noisy with the traffic going past, but Tasmania is not that busy, so we didn't mind. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Overall, a good choice so close to everything going on.

Located on hill top, felt like an oasis village although somewhat tired architecture. Room was large, clean and beds fresh and comfortable. Good value for RACT members with discounted rate. Recommend evening drink on the deck outside as the sun goes down. $55 buffet per person (booking required) - we missed out. Pleasant (although steep) walk down the pathway to...

Booked through TripAdvisor. Called hotel 10 days before to request an accessible room. Staff fantastic over the phone and very helpful. Advised dedicated 'disabled access' room available. Arrived after an exhausting 4 hour drive to a great room (room 2305) with parking at the front of our room. Ramp to enter the room, plenty of room to move around, a...

Myself, my wife and my son stayed in a mountain room for 2 nights and were very happy. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were wonderful with Tracey (reception), Kieron (dining) and Andreas (breakfast) deserving a shout out, very friendly and obviously enjoy their jobs. The housekeeping staff were also really nice. The toiletries are heavenly. Breakfast buffet was...

We were thrilled to be allocated one of the iconic cottages opposite the harbour. What a treat. The views, comforts of the restored cottage and the people were delightful ! We loved the food from the hotel, well priced and delicious - the ocean trout is mouth watering. We laughed along with "The Ship that Never Was", first class acting.

We stayed in the Hilltop Harbour View Room for one night and another room set further back for another night as we decided to come a night earlier. Both rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. The room with the view was spectacular with great views over the town and water where we could see the cruise boats and trawlers coming...

Bit old and daggy. Need some sort of airconditioning. Although the service was very good and location isnt bad. You will struggle to find better to be honest in strahan so this is your best bet anyway.

Rooms were very comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly. More importantly the restaurant food was amazing. Buffet cost $55 and was really worth it if you love seafood. All dishes were a treat. If you can't do the buffet you can pile up one plate for $27 which was great value. Food at the other venues downtown apparently nowhere...

Beautiful little cottages very well appointed with everything you could need. Close to the town centre and very helpful friendly staff. Picturesque area and would highly recommend. Very easy to do tours from this area.

We were blessed with an ocean view room, and an air conditioner for the hot day we were there! Lovely views! The room was big with a big bathroom. When we went to book our tickets for the Gordon River Cruise we mentioned that we were staying there and received a 15% discount!
