Our trip to the “In the Woods” Hickory Ridge Cabin was great. We were greeted by an adorable sign at the front porch. I way overpacked, as usual. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you might need except for dinner. There are plates, utensils, cookingware, a bottle opener, a variety of appliances (toaster, microwave, blender) and so much more.... More

My boyfriend and I spent three nights in late September in the Woods Cabin at Hickory Ridge and could not have asked for a better experience. We were pleasantly greeted at the cabin by a welcome sign with our names written on it, candles lit, soft music playing and snacks laid out in the immaculately clean kitchen. Immediately, we felt... Very nice, clean and inviting. Two bugs got in during the evening, a moth and a hard shell clicking bug. Not the cabins fault...but made for an aggravating night of sleeping until we caught them... and got rid of them. Then blissful sleep. It was a perfect spot to relax.

This is 4th visit to The Woods cabin. It's small and quaint, clean and perfect for 2. We love being at the top of a hill and hiking through the woods that surround us. I LOVE to cook and while I'm missing a few things (sharp chopping knifes), the basics are all here. I forgot coffee and it's nice to... More

We stayed at the Homestead Cabin for a mini-get-away on July 18-20, 2016. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations! Upon arrival, we found candles lit and music playing in the impeccably clean and comfortable cabin. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with all the cooking tools, plates, glasses etc that we could have needed. The bedding was soft and... More

This was our first stay at Hickory Ridge Cabins in the Woods cabin. We were greeted with a personalized welcome sign at the door and a bottle of sparkling grape juice with chilled glasses. The cabin was incredibly cozy and welcoming. All of the amenities were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. It was very secluded and peaceful! A... More

This was our second stay at the Homestead and it was just as relaxing as the first. The hot tub is awesome! You can't beat the price. I have been to many cabins in the area and I must say that the Cabins at Hickory Ridge gives you the most bang for your buck. They even throw in little extras... More

While planning for a hocking hills get-a-way, I couldn't decide on several cabins but ended up picking The Woods cabin due to the positive reviews I read. After one night there, I can assure you the reviews are right! The Woods Cabin surpassed all of our expectations. We instantly felt at home with a personalized sign, candles, and music upon... More

This was the most amazing vacation we have ever been lucky enough to enjoy! The Cabin in the Woods was the most perfect, attuned to detail, homey place we have ever seen. Personal, private, beautiful...affordable...who could ask for more?? We will be staying there again, and ONLY if under the same ownership. Don't miss the opportunity😊

We stayed at the Homestead cabin for two nights on a quick getaway to zipline and hike in the Hocking Hills region. We saw a deer as we pulled in the driveway, and our teenagers enjoyed exploring the 55 acres and playing soccer in the front yard after a long car ride. The cabin was clean and welcoming and was... “This property has no WiFi and no cell service, so be prepared to "turn it off" while you're visiting (not a bad thing at all). While this is a quiet and secluded cabin, you are not far from civilization - there are a few neighbors on the main road and only about 15 minutes down the road there is a grocery store, diner and access to the main highway (and cellular connectivity).”

“I stayed both at the Homestead and the Lodge. I am a light sleeper but slept soundly at both cabins. It is soo quiet at night. Lovely! At the Homestead, as soon as I sat on the covered porch, I felt such a sense of peace. The covered porch has 2 rocking chairs and a porch swing. The wide lawn has a bird feeder. It was so relaxing watching the birds, rocking on the porch and mellowing out. The inside of the cabin was lovely. I didn’t try the Jacuzzi till the next day. What a treat! Easy to get in and out of, strong jets, and the same relaxing view as from the porch. The lodge was actually my favorite but it is usually reserved for large groups. It probably was a bit big for me but I really enjoyed the aesthetics, the cathedral ceilings and the workmanship. The kitchen cabinets are so beautiful. The wrap around deck is great. The lodge has a wood burning fireplace which I used every night.”

“Only teensy complaint; I am a light sleeper, and the furnace is in the bedroom area. A little loud at times. But no big deal in the scheme of things. did not affect our great time.”
  • Wonderful hot tub
