We stayed in one of the smaller cabins for a long weekend and it was perfect. Not only are the cabins very close to Hocking Hills State Park but these folks have literally thought of everything - every tiny last detail to make our stay easy and enjoyable! There are board games, puzzles, kitchen supplies, extra linens, fishing poles, and everything else possible provided in the guest services hut that's accessible 24 hours a day and you can help yourself to whatever you may need. Even the cook ware was nice - no scraping your eggs off the bottom of an old pan like other rentals! Everything was super clean too, which is always nice. Really impressed with the hosts and will definitely book again in the future.

We stayed in the Pine Grove cabin at Cedar Grove Lodging December 21 - 23, 2020. Our group was a family of 4 plus a dog. There was room in the cabin for all of us. The cabin was very clean, well organized, and only a 2 minute drive from Old Man Cave. We hiked at most of the trails, including Old Man Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Cantwell Cliffs, Rock House. Recommend you bring your own food, beverages, and a water filter pitcher or bottled water for drinking and cooking (iron in tap water in the area).

Wow! This was a perfect place to stay for exploring Hocking Hills. So close to area hiking and attractions (only a half mile from the Old Man’s Cave entrance, and about 20 min drive from other areas like Lake Logan and Cantwell Cliffs). The cabin was cozy but not rustic - wifi, hot water, a kitchen fully stocked with supplies, and a clean hot tub. Lots of extra touches made this place great, like a guidebook emailed to us ahead of time and a bag of supplies for our dog. We stayed in the Maplewood cabin. 6 adults, 2 infants, and a dog and we didn’t feel crowded or crammed at all! Very roomy. Will stay again!

We stayed in the Oakwood Cabin. It was two of us and our medium sized dogs. The cabin is semi private (you can see the other cabins across the street, but they are partially obscured by a hill). WiFi was adequate to work (including video calls). The cabin was clean, furniture was well loved, but comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, and cutlery.
It had rained every day and was quite cold (January) and muddy so we didn't get to enjoy the hot tub or the yard. It was much too muddy to take walks and dog's potty breaks required paw cleaning before they could come back into the house.
The parking area was all mud (ruined new tennis shoes). Recommend that a load or two of gravel be added to the parking area so there is room to get in and out of the car without sinking ankle deep into mud.
Overall, very enjoyable. Would definitely stay there again.

Though I am very sorry for the muddy driveway. We've had so much snow this year and plowed the driveways (pushing away the gravel) more times than I can count. We had such a great time here! We came for the weekend with our puppy and used every amenity! The hot tub was so relaxing, the cabin was super clean and everything was so comfortable. The cabin was only 0.5 miles from Old Man’s Cave which was super convenient and after a long day of hiking we came back to grill and watch a movie (picked out in the guest services area). When we got to the cabin, there was a dog friendly bag with extra pet waste bags, a
blanket and towels which was all very useful! Already planning my next trip back!
I wish in addition to a lighter there were matches because the grill wouldn’t ignite on its own, we had to get creative with safely getting the grill to light.
On the Specials website, it showed that any stays for the month of March would receive a free pizza coupon but we did not receive this.

The cabins were clean, well furnished and the kitchen was equipped with all that we needed. The bathroom was really nice and big. The property is very well maintained and even though you can see some of the other cabins, they are far enough apart that everyone has their privacy.

The cabin was furnished perfectly and had everything we needed for our two day stay. Enjoyed swinging on the front porch in the woods, the views and a walk around the property. The hot tub was great even in August since the evening was cooler after a light rain. There is a washer and drying in a locked community building where there are various products available that you might have forgotten along with pamphlets of local attractions. Hiking at Hocking Hills State Park was great as usual. Dinner at the Inn at Cedar Falls, nearby was outstanding. We had really not eaten out or travelled anywhere since the Covid lockdown started in mid-March and these were both great choices. The fire ring was a welcome addition too. I had stayed here once before at a larger cabin with my high school girlfriends and the property has grown and maintained high standards in the intervening years. I particularly like its location near everything but very private. I also had no concerns about security.

Cabin was clean and homey, all the things you need for a great stay. Even blankets for the pet. Isolated location gives great privacy. So close to hiking, canoeing, and places to eat.

This is our 6th year staying with Julie & Kevin in their cabins at Cedar Grove. They maintain their cabins and the property so well and remember all the little details EVERY year to make our stay so enjoyable. The cabins are always clean, the water is hot for showers, all the appliances work great and the surroundings are always well maintained and beautiful

Had a wonderful stay at Whispering Pines Cabin. It was a very cozy cabin and we loved having the hot tub on the back deck. Since we were still in a COVID pandemic when we stayed, it was nice because you could tell the cabin had been thoroughly cleaned.
It was our first trip to Hocking Hills and we loved how close the cabin was to all the hiking. We would absolutely stay again. The bed wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world, but other then that, everything was great!
There is also a log book you can fill in about your stay and I loved reading all the other entries!

All of our cabins have wifi. Most of today's smartphones can have wifi calling enabled. This will allow you to make/receive calls over the internet when there is no cell signal. Works great! All of our cabins also have landline phones with free long distance. The # is provided to you prior to arrival so you can share with family, friends, co-workers.
Our main property has good cell service from Sprint. Other carriers are marginal and no service from any carrier once you leave the property. Our Guest Services building has a cell antenna to provide service while in the building.
Part of the beauty of the Hocking Hills is to "Disconnect to Reconnect". Reconnect with friends, family, loved ones, yourself, nature, etc...
