Detailed Reviews
We really enjoyed our return visit. Very helpful and friendly staff. Helped out forgotten items. The Junction is nice to be able to order some take out if needed.
The little store had some basic camp supplies. It would be nice to have basic,
bread, milk and eggs etc. , but understand that can be hard to be successful with unknown need.
Also, nice to have the password to connect to WiFi and were close enough to be able to do that.
The campgrounds are kept clean .
We enjoy the riverfront lots which bring back good childhood memories.

Upper River sites were great. The sites were fairly level and only some puddles after heavy rains. Really nice shade trees. Access to the river was easy and the office was very helpful with area information. Our only complaint was the hot water in the women's showers took forever to turn hot and did not last long enough to finish a shower. The men's seemed to be fine. Once the bridge reopens the drive to and from will be much easier for us.

Very nice campground — clean and friendly. Nice location right on the Mohican River. Reservation staff was great. Nice restaurant on site. Only issue was felt like pricing was okay, but charge a booking fee for online booking, extra people charge for more than 1 person and an early check in fee too. Seems excessive. Also, the security staff was a bit overboard when a family member forgot and drove a little too fast. Seemed the warning could have been less hostile.

We had two spots right on the Mohican River. It was very peaceful and fun to watch the canoers go by. Check-in was good. The building looked brand new and served food and had a bar.
We had water and electric hook up and paid a high price of 60 bucks a night. The campsite was a decent size and pretty level.
The downfalls:
We were required to wear paper bracelets at all times to prove we were paid customers. The shower house was very, very old and outdated. The other bathrooms smelled sooooo bad, I gagged and almost vomited even after the septic truck tucked them out. I couldn't even get through the door to go inside! The speed bumps were more like speed mountains and can possibly damage the trailer hitch going over them. Even though they posted quiet hour rules, a worker on a tractor woke us up at 6:00 am.
There are several other campgrounds in this area... we will for sure going to look into those options next time.

The staff are really nice and the grounds are clean. It would just be nicer if they had a pool like most of the other campgrounds in the area. There were no activities the weekend we were there. The kids just hung out at the playground which is small in comparison to other area campgrounds as well.

We have seasonal camped here for 3 years. The campgrounds the first two years we camped was absolutely amazing there was a lot of things to do for ours kids. This year they didn’t seem to have as much booked as previous years. We also noticed if you aren’t part of there group then you don’t get the welcome feel. Hopefully the environment will get better and they do well.

Our camping spot along the river was beautiful with the leaves just changing. Bathrooms were close by and the shower house had good hot water. We tent camped and the spots had water on site. Very friendly accommodating owners & staff. Will be back.

This is a hidden gem right on the Mohican river! We have stayed several places along the river and Lost Horizons is hands down our favorite by far. We felt like family from the time they checked us in to the time we left.
The owners, Jeff and Angie are phenomenal and so down to earth! Jeff is kind of quite but you know he means business and Angie is full of smiles and bouncing all over the place keeping things on track.
We joined in the corn hole tournament and all the campers involved were awesome! We didn’t win but still had a ton of fun. They had music both nights we were there (DJ and live band) which was a nice treat. We met so many nice people, we can’t wait to go back! We have already booked for next year!
