Detailed Reviews
Hotel was just not very clean. The hall floors looked like they had not been vacuumed in quite some time. There was black mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. My non-smoking room had several cigarette burn holes in the bed covers. It was probably 2nd worst hotel I have stayed in. If my wife would have been travelling with me, I think we would have had to go elsewhere as I don't think she could have stayed there.

Dropping son off at college camp so I needed a cheap place close by to stay. It worked. Rooms we overall clean. The blankets did have burn marks and the shower curtain, fabric, was clean but stained mold in it. So they could use replacing. The outside looks so work out but again, it’s cheap, is clean just old.

Pool not open. No guestroom amenities or cleaning when staying multiple nights. Lobby wreaks of smoke smell. Long hairs left in the shower. TV Remote barely worked. but desk people were cordial and A/C worked well.

I have never filled out a negative public review before but I feel compelled to warn others about this property. Our room was dirty. We can deal with dated, but not dirty. We would have checked out an gone elsewhere but everything was booked. We barely slept. There were what appeared to be milk duds, popcorn, popcorn kernels, and wrappers on the floor by the beds (photos attached). The tub, which was the shower floor, was visibly dirty...brown. The faucet came off everytime we turned the water on. The bathroom door lock stuck, so my husband got locked in there twice. The blankets on the beds (not to be confused with the coverlets, which appeared to be newer) were nasty and full of burn holes. The woman at the front desk who checked us in could barely be bothered to look up from her phone, so reporting these items was a waste of time. We couldn't wait to check out in the morning! I would rather sleep in my car. Disgusting hotel.

We reserved a non-smoking room and verified that it was non-smoking several days before our arrival. We were placed in a smoking room which the employee verified when we went down to tell her it reeked of smoke and there was an ashtray on the table. She said that they were fully booked so she could not move us. The room was filthy and included a used Bandaid on the floor in addition to soiled bedspreads with cigarette burns in them. This was the most disgusting hotel experience I have ever had!

I travel a bit for business and personal trips, and this place is one of the worst I've seen. The room was terrible. Huge hole in the bathroom door. When we mentioned it to the desk clerk, she already knew about it. But she had booked us there anyway, even though other rooms were available. We had travelled 12 hours that day and we're too tired to change rooms. But no discount was given for putting up with a room that really shouldn't be rented in that condition at full price. The owner was contacted and said he would adjust our bill when he was at the property. It's been days, and we haven't seen anything yet. Breakfast seemed to have a decent variety, but no fresh fruit and nothing hot besides a make it yourself waffels. There are only 5 tables that sit 2 each. There was no place to sit, so we didn't have anything. I saw a mother have to hunt down staff to refill a milk picture so her kids could have some cereal. As is typical for these budget hotels, the carpets should have been replaced about a decade ago. There are other budget hotels in the area that do a better job than this place.

Our stay from end to beginning was absolutely perfect. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff was courteous and always available to help. Rooms and property was clean. For the price breakfast was adequate as well.

My friends and I reserved rooms at this hotel due to a wedding in the area. My friends arrived before me and they found their rooms to be extremely dirty, full of the smell of cigarettes in nonsmoking rooms, plenty of cigarette burns on the comforters, bed bugs, and one room even had a window on the first floor that was unsafe and would not lock. I called and expressed my concerns to the employee working and he was extremely rude and refused to refund the cost of the room. Therefore, I still went to the hotel to check in and upon arrival, the smell of cigarettes was extremely strong in the building and the manager was extremely rude and made my fiancé and I extremely uncomfortable. He then only would refund me part of the money. This hotel shouldn’t be open in the current state and needs evaluated by the health department.

It did just look dirty because It was old...It was actually not cleaned properly, not to mention not sanitized. We HAD to stay in the city of Mount Vernon so this was pretty much our only option at the time so my husband and I cleaned what we could and wore our shoes constantly in the room so our feet wouldn’t get dirty from the icky carpet.
Only book if you absolutely have to. There is a Walmart and CVS near to purchase disinfectant and other supplies.

Booked two rooms through Priceline. Reservation did not state smoking or nonsmoking. I asked to check on the rooms before checking in. Both rooms were smoking/not clean. One room had an overwhelming and intolerable smoke smell along with numerous cigarette burn holes on bed. There was also quite of bit of questionable noise/activity in the halls. Just walked away and paid for another hotel. Bickered with owner the following day, but he didn't care about giving me any concessions any more that he cares about the condition of his hotel.
