Booked into this superb Inn for a weekend stay and to do some walking around the stiperstones. On arrival we were made to feel welcome and at home and we arrived about an hour before check in time but our room was available for us to use. The room was was very spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed....

Friendly staff who managed to cope with an influx of 50 hill walkers. Great beer. I'd also like to say a big thank you for posting my walking jacket back to me, which I'd inadvertently left in the pub. THANK YOU.

I've visited The Stiperstones Inn many times...I've stayed here and simply had lunch here on many occasions. Their excellent for value food is superb with an extensive menu, all of which I would say is homemade. You really must try the Whinberry (picked locally) pie or crumble, (served with custard is my particular favourite!). Absolutely nothing is too much trouble...

In the nicest possible way, having a meal here reminds me of the lovely meals my mum used to cook. Harty portions and excellent value for money. My wife being veggie could not believe she could pick from 1/2 dozen different dishes. I can't comment on pudding as I think I would have burst and I have a big appetite....

Went for Sunday lunch and a lunch in the week. The food is very good with plenty of choice. The owners and staff are friendly and dogs are allowed in the bar. I must mention the shop next door to the pub. It is only small but sells everything you can think of and the prices are so reasonable.

My 3 ex- work colleagues like to do something vaguely outdoors in between our eating and drinking so ideally located for our 4hr walk in the Shropshire Hills. The staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. We didn't eat any food during the day though our breakfast was v.good. A very minor critique that showers were slightly weak though our room...

A great welcome on a hot day after we had walked 6 miles over the Stiperstones. We were a group of 5 from the Braunston Walkers. Great beer brewed in nearby Bishops Castle and really good value food. Toasted sandwiches excellent and the plough mans also looked good and plenty of chips. We loved the place would highly recommend it...

We went to the Stiperstones Inn for the first time in over a year last Friday and my wife and I both wondered why it had taken so long to return. There is always a warm welcome when you arrive and it is truly one of the last proper pubs left in the area, the bar was busy with plenty...
