My husband and I stayed at Five Bells this week, and we had the most relaxing time ever. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching the sun set every night. The bed was quite comfortable, and the cottage (behind the main house) that we stayed in had been clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The jacuzzi was pretty awesome too. There was...

I give Five Bells a 10! What a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. We met some friends in Port Clinton. We stayed in the main house and had a wonderful view of Lake Erie. We took advantage of the lawn area overlooking the lake as a gathering for us to sit and catch up with each other. What a Beautiful sunset....

My wife and I have been coming here for the past 6 years and we have always had a wonderful time, and Jerry & Eileen are always excellent hosts. This time we stopped by going and coming home to spend the 4th of July weekend. As always, breakfast by chef Jerry is excellent, and the view is still to die...

We stayed in the family cottage three nights behind the main house. I do not recommend this. The cottage was in bad shape. Floors are very "spongy" in places, where you feel like you may actually go through. Lots of movies for the kids, but VCR did not work. Dead bugs pressed into the spare blankets, live spiders all over....

Hello - thank you your feedback about the Five Bells Inn. We apologize that your stay was not a positive experience. We have made many repairs to the cottage you stayed in, and we are constantly working to make sure the appliances, furniture, and other amenities are in full working (and safe) condition! We're also taking extra precautions this year...

We stayed here for two nights during the "Greatest Week in American Birding" in early May. Stayed in the "Pansy Room" (rooms are named after flowers and are colored to match). Nice jacuzzi tub, good wifi, excellent breakfast the next day. Good birding right on the property that day too. Easy walk to the Lake Erie Shore. Very hospitable hosts....

If you're looking for a wonderful place to get away to--and it's not too early to be thinking about Spring and the "Biggest Week in American Birding 2014"--consider the Five Bells Inn. Eileen and Jerry are warm and friendly hosts who provide comfortable accommodations (including a hot tub!) in a wonderful setting, complete with gorgeous sunsets over Lake Erie and...

Arriving late (after dark) in an unfamiliar place is always a concern, but the 5BI is easy to find, and Eileen was efficiently welcoming upon our arrival and we were able to settle in and were resting and relaxing in no time. We woke, as expected, to chilly, damp weather, but the day quickly improved to an ideal sunny, crisp,...

My husband and I stayed at this lovely bed & breakfast over Labor Day weekend (3 nights). We had room #4, which is in the main house. This bright sunny yellow room is nice, and although it doesn't have a shower, it has a jacuzzi tub. YAY! (We knew in advance that it didn't have a shower). The weather was...

We are a young couple who celebrated our anniversary and this was a perfect quiet weekend getaway for couples of all ages. I recommend staying inside the Inn (not the detached cottages) all have private bathrooms. The innkeepers were welcoming and breakfast included homemade muffins and breads as well as waffles, which was delicious. Coffee is hot and going all...

This little gem is on a road that takes travelers to the Ferry, with a nice lake view facing west. This affords guests warmly lit rooms at sunset. They have rooms that are not in the main house - which we prefer when staying at a Bed and Breakfast.
