Got king bed room for one night. Check in was easy. Had dinner at Applebees next door which was convenient. Had a swim , pool was clean and good temperature. Room was standard hotel room with usual facilities. Used laundry, my husband had to borrow a screwdriver from reception and take filters off dryer which was clogged full of old fluff (a potential fire hazard and also displays lack of maintenance). Slept well, bed comfy. Breakfast was adequate, the only hot food was sausage patties and waffles, but there was fresh bananas and apples. Check out was not good. The female on reception was having a private personal conversation with someone out the back and acted like we were a nuisance and was very offhand, obviously not wanting our checkout to interrupt her chat. Was not a…

This hotel was chosen because it was close to our destination of Cedar Point. The room was clean and we did not encounter any issues. It was a basic room, nothing fancy, but we were not looking for fancy just a place to rest. The breakfast was plentiful and included waffles, boiled eggs, a variety of muffins and bagel, cereal etc.

The good: friendly, helpful front desk associates; staff at the breakfast buffet was also terrific; location of hotel is good--a few minutes from the park, grocery shopping nearby as well as Starbucks and Dunkin; ample parking... The bad: Dirty; after unpacking some clothes (for which there was insufficient drawers for storage) we put our bags on top of the dresser for storage. When we did, a cloud of dust arose... The picture attached is what I wiped of the top of the dresser. It appears as though the last time the top of the dresser was cleaned was during the Clinton administration. (think about breathing in that crap...) Next, I went to the gym and found that a filth hole too. Honestly, I am not sure the carpet had been vacuumed this year. Really. It was…

Just stayed their last night. We had to ask for new sheets as both beds had multiple black hairs and dirt on sheets. Mold was growing in bathroom and the hallway stunk of smoke even though we were in non smoking area. Don’t stay there unless you don’t mind sleeping in dirty sheets!

We stayed at the Sleep Inn as it is close to our destination of Cedar Point. The staff was very friendly & we wanted an indoor pool in case it rained (weather was not looking good). The best part about the Sleep Inn Sandusky is how quiet it is. With the storms & the holiday fireworks, I expected to be up at night but I slept through everything (clock alarm had to wake me up). Breakfast is nice & simple with waffles, juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt & pastries (had to dig in the back for the chocolate doughnuts). Staff was always helpful & friendly & always welcoming you when entering the front door. Complementary Register & USA Today was a nice touch. We had a king bed on the second floor & room was clean & comfortable (looks like it was renovated not too long ago). TV was…

Headed on a cross country road trip, with no real set agenda, decided to go to Cedar Point. Booked online in the morning when headed to Ohio so we’d have a place to stay that night. Check in was easy, room was clean and comfortable. Complementary breakfast was good and staff was helpful. Tables were limited at the time we went but was able to get a seat with minimal wait. Overall good hotel if your looking for a free breakfast and a place to lay your head for a night or two.

The place was clean. It took a little while for the front desk attendant to show up to check us in but he was polite and helpful enough. My biggest complaint was that we could plainly hear the TV in the next room which made it difficult to get to sleep and there was noise from upstairs so the walls are a little thin as the saying goes. Overall though, got a decent night’s sleep. Pool and fitness center looked nice although we didn’t use either.

We stayed in the Sleep Inn in Sandusky, OH so we could visit Cedar Point. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are nice. There is an exercise room, too. The breakfast buffet features plenty of choices. The Sleep Inn is convenient to plenty of restaurants, Cedar Point, and anything else you want to do in Sandusky. Two issues: The hotel internet service is not very reliable. Also, we wanted the closed-captioning on the TV in the breakfast area, but no staff member was able to turn in on for us. They need to fix that,

This hotel is about 2miles from Kalahari resorts waterpark and about 15 minutes from cedra point. I like the rooms and they have a pool that you can enjoy for hours. If you have a non smoking room do not smoke in it you will be charged the fine.
