1st room we were in had a very bad odor, we could only stand it for 1-night then we had them move us to second floor, room was okay, for the price it was not as clean as it should have been, the sheets nor room was cleaned during our 6 night stay, not one time. Breakfast was not as good as a convenience store. And the Halls did have similarities to the ones in the Shining. I did hear that the first floor had a fire at sometime, so that may have been the smell, but there was definitely mold in the room also. My wife was very disappointed.

The staff was extremely unfriendly. The breakfast was terrible, and they couldn't even get the breakfast out on time. We had wanted to watch the local news while eating breakfast, but we were told they could not change the channel. So all we could watch was the Trump channel. Then you had to walk a mile down a never ending hallway to get to your room.

The halls remind me of The Shining. They go on and on and on and on and I've never seen a hotel like it. I constantly thought everything was a mirror because of the layout. Like a fun house. Thus...it's incredibly packed. So....if you have families with little kids that are loud and you need a place that caters to this...go here!

I am well traveled and spend a good bit of time in hotels. This place needs serious work. Air conditioning units are filthy and the smell of mold is quite present. I do believe I left there with an upper respiratory infection. People stay here because it's cheap and fairly close to Cedar Point. And it is nasty. Someone else made the reservation that has a "different standard" than I do, thus I stayed, had I booked the room, I definitely would have stayed anywhere but the Comfort Inn. Stay at the Great Wolfe Lodge up the street, it is an awesome place. May cost a bit more, but when you consider I will have a Dr. bill plus the Comfort Inn rate, we could have stayed at Wolfe Lodge instead and stayed in a very nice place indeed.

We went here for a sports tournament. Front desk staff lacked basic customer service skills and housekeeping either didn’t show up at all or came late and did the bare minimum. There were various stains and cracks on the ceiling of my room and the furniture looked as though it had been tossed around. Towels looked like paint swatches, each a different shade of eggshell/yellow. My kid took a shower and said she felt more clean before the shower than afterwards. Just DIRTY. Everywhere. Gross hotel. Housekeeping was either late or did not show up at all, so trash piled up and we didn’t receive new towels each day. Sheets were never changed, beds not made. My key stopped working on the last night of our stay. I had to go to the front desk THREE TIMES to request a new one, and the guy at the desk was rude. “It’s the battery. Use a different entrance.” Charge your battery or put up a sign, maybe both?! Only on the third time did he actually ask my name (still no ID!). Just “room number?” So if you want to just go here and get a random room key for anyone’s room I’m sure you will have no problems! My kid’s key also quit working after the first night. Never asked a name, just what room number. Here is a key for whatever room you said. You could probably say any room number. Housekeeping also leaves carts unattended so you could also just walk in the front, turn down the long hallway (carts were out all hours of the day and night) and swipe the master key to get in, however I chose not to do this. But again, if you are looking for all access to any room, there are multiple ways to go about it! You can hear people slamming doors and all of the conversations and fights in the hallways all night, so don’t plan on sleeping well. Also it is two floors, one super long hallway, and both floors absolutely reek of weed! There is a no smoking policy but clearly just for cigarettes… my child was also concerned that there was a skunk loose in the hotel all weekend. To top it off there are no USB ports. A simple thing but tells you when the last renovation was, never. I would never stay here again, avoid at all costs! Say anywhere but here!!!!!

We wanted a hotel with a pool and hot tub for the night before a trip to Cedar Point. The room was like $134 and it happened to be bike week, so there were motorcycles everywhere. That doesn’t bother me, but the dirty room and rude front desk staff did bother me. Also, I had called ahead of time to make sure the pool and hot tub were operational and was told yes they are. They actually have two swimming pools - One indoor and one outdoor. The hot tub was hot - but the jets did not work!! The pool inside was a nice temperature and had plenty of towels. We sat at the outdoor pool but did not go in the pool but it seemed nice. The toilet in our hotel room would not flush so we had to call the front desk to report it. It was fixed within a half hour so that was good. Would I stay here again - probably not. Oh and by the way - the hallway is like a mile long - seriously! A really long walk from our room to the front desk and breakfast area.

If you are used to decent mid-range hotels such as courtyards, tru hiltons, Hamptons, holiday inn expresses, etc, stay as far away from here as you can. Stayed here with my 13 year old daughter after a volleyball tournament. Checked in fairly late. Was greeted with a loud hallway of people and the smell of beer (and I believe a little weed). At 10:10, on the phone with my wife, she actually asked if what she was hearing was the TV or the sound from hallway and the neighboring rooms. Hotels like this should have a warning sign. The warning sign I guess was the long list of unenforced rules I was given upon check in. I can't think of another hotel I have stayed at (at least since college) that gave me a list of rules like these. But when the town is booked solid you take a chance. And I lost. Do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE else. SERIOUSLY. Unless you do want to have a party in the hall. Then maybe it's for you. Seriously I can't believe I am here.

We had beg bugs at this hotel Feb 26-27, 2022. We brought our own sheets and checked for activity before hand. Woke up first morning with one bite and next morning with over 30 bites! I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

We were in town for a baseball tournament. The front desk staff was pleasant at our arrival, that is possibly the only good thing I have to stay. Our room did not have any mold like others from our team has, but it is now 2 days after coming home and my entire stomach is covered in bites. I called the hotel directly and was told I'll need to talk to a manager who will not be in until Friday morning, it is Tuesday. The person I talked to on the phone did not ask my name or what room number we stayed in, so unfortunately other guests may be dealing with this soon. My recommendation is to stay anywhere else. Between the mild, torn curtains and now bed bugs the room is not worth the deal you think you are getting.
