First room smelled very strong like skunky marijuana. So we got a different room. Both rooms were dusty but not horrible. The bathroom had some mildew. I stayed for three days because it was close to Cedar Point and was fairly cheap. House keeping didn’t bring clean towels or take out the trash or make the bed until I notified the front dest. The guy at the front desk told me it’s was their policy to not do a full clean but just take out the trash. I told him my trash wasn’t taken out. And we both know that’s not Baymont’s policy. Next time I’ll spend a little more money on a nicer hotel.
Checked in earlier in day had room keys & came back after all day at Cedar Point to find someone sleeping in the hotel bed. Front desk gentleman told us it wasn’t his problem & told us to get F…k out of His hotel. People waiting behind us had same issue.
This place should be taken off of trip advisor. Do not stay here. We stopped into Sandusky on 7/20/2022 for a night to take our kids to the park and were trying to save a little money. Please spend a little more elsewhere. The room they gave us was FILTHY. Have plenty of pics and a longer video. The room was very damp, the air conditioner had garbage inside of it and the room had visible mold spots all over the baseboard and bathroom ceiling. Carpet was also disgusting. I was trying to be cordial about not wanting to stay here, after inspecting my room for 10 min, I immediately went to the front desk and notified them that I have a pretty severe mold allergy and already had an itchy/irritated throat and eyes; and that I wasn’t going to be staying there and expected a refund. The front desk was actually very apologetic and acknowledged the filth of the room, he informed me that the GM Dario would be calling me to initiate the refund. I’m still waiting from my call from this imaginary GM. I will be notifying the Sandusky and Erie county department of public health. That’s how bad this place is.…
Dirty rooms. Terrible staffing. Nothing worked. No one cared or even knew what was going on. I was told I brought the bugs we found in the room. I was told we brought in the dirt that was in the tub. I was told my kids messe around on the phone when I accidentally called the front desk and then hung up. On & on the craziness went as I was checking out and getting a refund.
The Beds were comfy, the air conditioning was cold, and the shower was hot. Didn't make it to the complimentary breakfast but it was definitely available. Can't complain. It was Right next to Cedar Point.
For the price it was OK. The room was fairly clean and the staff was friendly and nice. There is no pool. Breakfast was the very basics. For an overnight stay This hotel did the trick. I would stay here again
The service was very nice! From check in to check out, the staff were kind enough to give us directions and transport service numbers. They extended our check out time and were very polite. Loved the closeness of the place to cedar point!
If you like, horrible internet, paper thin walls in which you can hear your neighbor's whole conversation, uncomfortable square pillows, non-existent internet, a TV that's stuck on 1 channel and very poor breakfast, then this is the place for you. Especially at the bargain rate of $160/night.
Didn’t match the hotel pics on the site, refrigerator was broken in room. Body hair on bathroom floors. Says they have a pool, never saw a pool even after looking for it. A guest had a clogged bathroom toilet, manager gave him a plunger and had him try to fix it himself. Wi-Fi only worked if your room was very close to office
Towel used and dirtt, ceiling was falling down in the bathroom , holes in the wall in the bathroom , parking lot was dark with people harassing the guest, the smell in the room was horrible, and the staff was disrespectful
