My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights when we originally only planned on 2, they were extremely friendly and easy to work with! Older but very clean and only a small smell that wasn’t even noticeable after a few minutes. Super close to cedar point and easy to get to restaurants and fishing spots. Will definitely be staying again! Very friendly people.
This is a family run hotel that is really cheap for the area, and although it smelled musty, the most important things were clean: sheets, towels, and bathroom. We paid 100 (after tax) for a room with 2 queen beds. The mattresses were fine. The pillows were meh, and there were only 4 in the room, so next time our family of 4 will bring our own pillows. The outdoor pool was beautiful, and we enjoyed swimming in the morning after a long day at the park the night before. There is a train track behind the place, and the trains go by many times in the night and whistle, so you may want earplugs. If you are looking for something comparable to the Holiday Inn, don't stay here: no hangars, no tissue box, lighting isn't so good, and light came in around the curtain at night. However, if you are just looking for a place to crash after Cedar Point and to have a nice swim in the morning, bring pillows and earplugs and stay here. (I kinda think you'd hear the trains somewhat in most areas around Cedar Point--I think I read that in various reviews.) My husband and I don't like to sleep in a full bed, preferring a queen or king. This place had queen beds! I'd rather not pay the 200 a night prices around there to just crash after a long day at the park in small full beds. I think if we wanted queen beds in the same area, it was more like 250-300 for the night. We went for cheap, and we are fine for it. As a side note, I didn't like the smell in the foyer to check in. Our room, was a little musty, but not like that. The room smell dissipated with the AC and the bathroom vent, or we just got used to it. Next time, I'll bring something for the room so it smells fresher. The shower took awhile to warm up, but it was nice and hot with a good spray. Wi-fi note, my phone said they had it, but it needed a password , but I never received it, so I didn't use it. Maybe you could get the password, but that wasn't important to me.…
We stayed here while visiting Cedar Point, and it was definitely a case of "you get what you paid for". At $55, the room smelled awful - very musky - as did the water. It was near a railroad track too, so you could hear the train passing by at random times. That, and beware the headboard: it's sharp and juts out, so if you hit your head against it, it will hurt! However, the tv worked well and the shampoo/conditioner were good. Also, it is close to the park and the bed wasn't awful. Still, the smell was a deal breaker for me.
