If you love hotel workers who will talk loudly and smoke outside your room while you're trying to sleep with your family.....parking lots that are dark and scary without enough parking spots....paying for a big room and getting a small one..... and broken shower rods and ripped pillows then you would LOVE this place!!!! Oh.... and smoke filled rooms covered up by over powering Glade plug-in air fresheners.
Nice room for a quick stay. The room smelled a little musty but wasn’t terrible. The bathroom is nice size. Personal notes: for us, the beds weren’t that comfortable and the shower head wasn’t great either. Breakfast was really nice: hot sausage Pattie’s, scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, waffle maker, yogurt, cereal, muffins, juice. All buffet style. I would recommend staying if your in town just to visit the islands or Cedar Pointe. The rooms are reasonably priced.
Chose this hotel because it was dog friendly. Staff was great. Hotel conveniently located and very nice. Would definitely stay again. The app is making me have 200 characters minimum so here you go xx
Highly recommend. Very pet friendly! Everything was extremely clean, inside and out. Hotel staff friendly. Made sure to check in for satisfaction. We were impressed by outside pet friendly area. Fire pit at night for everyone to enjoy. Outside swimming pool.
My husband and I and our 72 pound lab stayed 3 nights in a king suite and we were very impressed. The room was very clean and smelled clean. It had a very clean heated outdoor pool and a beautiful gas lit fire pit. It has plenty of space to walk the dog. The breakfast buffet was also very good with eggs, a waffle maker, bagels, and bread that you can heat or toast up, a variety of juices, fresh fruit and yogurt, coffee and tea, etc... The shift manager, Matthew was very pleasant and helpful. It was within 4.5 miles to cedar point. We will definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. FYI, we are very picky with hotels.
Everything was great. Clean, friendly, good breakfast, was a very quick check in. In a convenient location to cedar point. Only 7 miles. Was very quite. The area is beautiful and building looks brand new.
This hotel is conveniently located for our short mid-week Cedar Point getaway. The rooms and property are outdated. Although the bed was clean, the shower curtain had mold and the room smelled of body odor. After the first day, our room was not cleaned and would not be cleaned until we checked out. Our trash was not taken out, old mildewy towels gathered in the corner and not enough towels at that. Breakfast was cramped and offered a small variety of food. If you were looking for eggs, toast and coffee, then this is for you.
We stayed here as we were waiting to meet a group the next day in Put-In Bay for a couple of days/ Obviously this used to be a motel 6 and after La Quinta acquired them they are expanding. for instance the room we had down the haul on the first floor had trim moulding and caulking guns laying in the hallway? Anyways the clerk noticed when we checked in we were staying on wyndham rewards and upgraded our room to a two room suite with a fireplace and a freezer? for storing fish? which was nice. the strange thing was when you went to the bedroom and opened the window the view was of a front yard of a house? the hot breakfast including the scrambled eggs and sausage were a nice touch also
My boyfriend and I stayed here after our trip to Cedar Point. I called to tell them we'd be late checking in, and they told me they were upgrading us from a double queen to a king suite! Our stay was around $135 total, and it was more than worth it. Definitely recommend.
I cannot imagine how this hotel has such high reviews. First, there is no elevator, so you will have to carry your bags upstairs. There is no ramp by the front door (it is farther down, away from the door), so access is more difficult to anyone requiring a ramp. The layout is very awkward (to the point where some of our group couldn’t find their room and had to go ask). The worst part, however, is that the rooms smell so strongly of smoke that it’s almost unbearable for anyone sensitive to it. My eyes and throat are burning, and I will need to take a shower in the morning (as opposed to tonight) to get the smell off. The one positive is that the gentleman at the front desk was very nice.
