Stay here if you want bedbugs. Checked in at 11 and left at 5 to go fishing. The room looked clean. Left with close to 20 bed bug bites. Plus there was a bunch of shady activity in the parking lot. No response from management.
Owner was incredibly nice. We locked out keys in our room at 2am and he very willingly helped. And helped quite a few other times with a positive attitude! Beds really were comfortable. I am not going to doc any points for looks because it's a value. We just needed a place to sleep to go to cedar point. It fit our needs.
This place is absolutely disgusting! The coffee maker had coffee still in the pot with mold growing in it! The bed was so uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and had hair on them. The sheets had dirt all over them. We ended up just sleeping on top of the blanket. One of the amenities was the office being open for 24 hour service so I went to get a couple pillows from the office and the lights were off and the door was locked. The toilet wasn't even attached to the floor. The air conditioner was being held up by duct tape. The walls were filthy and the wall paper was peeling off. It cost us $90 to stay in this motel on a Saturday night. If I could have gotten my money back, I would've just slept in my car but unfortunately I couldn't and all the other hotels in the area were booked up. To add to this horrible experience, their is a train directly behind this motel running all night. Lesson learned, I will spend the extra money for a better hotel and check reviews before booking a hotel!…
Well, I tried to stay at this hotel and had reservations, but no one was at the front desk to check in. the lobby was locked up and had a sign to go to room 114 to check in.. the person in that room had no idea about reservations and I left and went to the Knights Inn for the night. I will not stay at the hotel in the future due to the lack of customer service. I do not know about the rooms as I never was in one.. So far they have not charged my card for the reservations... I tried to cancel the reservation when I could not get checked in and no one answered the phone. This was in December which is out of season... The train runs right behind the hotel and would expect noise from the trains on the tracks..
So to premise this review I am a young rollercoaster enthusiast and this motel is very close to Cedar Point (under 5 min drive), when I first pulled out the first thing I noticed was the "under new management" sign, albeit already missing a number of letters! I was initially greeted by an Indian man who appeared to be the owner but couldn't work the checkin, a lady came to assist and she was very lovely, she was missing a few teeth and as far as I can remember she was originally from the Carolinas and lived onsite (she also was I later found out the housekeeper) . The lobby was full of "no refund" after checkin signs. The room was definitely interesting- the main door had a small bathroom type lock on it (not very secure), the room was dark and musty. There was one functioning lightbulb in the room. The greatest shock was the bathroom, the shower walls were held together with tape and the carpet into the room was soaking wet. I took my bags with me each day just because I was a bit paranoid but had no issues. When I asked after a few days when my room would be made up Miss Carolina advised she would do it whenever I asked, she really was friendly despite it all. I did find out during my stay that there had been a meth bust a few months prior which was concerning. I stayed overall for 5 days, 4 nights. In hindsight I probably would stay in my rental car next time mainly because I'm cheap but also because the motel wasn't great. But hey nothing bad happened, Miss Carolina was friendly and I'm a young Aussie themepark fan who was looking for nothing but a bed. I'd prob spring for the extra 20$ a night and go elsewhere next time. …
This place is nasty. My husband took a shower and walked across the floor by the time he got to the bed his feet were black. The headboard was falling off the bed. The walls had something all over them. It was suppose to be a no smoking room but you could smell the smoke in the air and the bed spread had smoke burns in it. To top it off when we came back for our second nights stay they had rented our room out to someone else.... How bad can a place be? I would suggest you look somewhere else....
Paid for 2 night's, stayed for 1. We got in late after a day at c.p. That is the only reason we even stayed one night. I pre-paid, non-refundable on hotwire for two night's, but only stayed one. If you ever decided to stay here you'll know why I choose to leave, even though we had already paid. The pics are of the duct tape and plastic that is the shower wall. Not coffee maker and no cable tv in the rooms. Also sits right next to railroad tracks, trains run often.
Me and my husband was already leery about the place when we pulled in less just say we left went to the store came back and the room next to us had occupants who I guess reside there daily so they were sitting on the side walk in chairs chilling with kids playing back and forth pass the door and meth head looking people walking pass our door and window... NEVER AGAIN
I stayed in Aug 2013. This motel is full of crap. No Phone or Microwave. thats ok.. but fire alarm was not working. no house keeping next day and dirty towels.mattress has plastic cover. Please guys stay out this place. I wanted to save some money but ask your self is it worth it to save 30 bucks, if you do not have good place to leave on vacation..I do not know why this motel exists..I would ask owner can be stay there..
I checked in on July 19th-21st. When I made my reservation online back in May it stated that my credit card would NOT be charged until arrival. The morning of the 19th it was charged and I called and told them I wanted to pay cash but not to refund it until I got there well when I got there they went ahead and refunded it (after I was clear on NOT to). Then upon getting my keys he tried swiping my card again, he wanted to charge my card once AGAIN! After that I went and took all my money out of my account, thank god I did! He informed me the whole time my card was declining & he wanted payment and on top of that he was harassing me about it! Monday morning came and this lady named Sherry that worked for him took care of me. She had informed me that she takes care of all his mistakes and we got everything taken care of on my part. If you ever book there PLEASE ask for her before anyone else. This hotel wasn't the best you can tell it was run down and it definitely needed alot of work. I was just using it for shower and bed cause I was there for cedar point all weekend. This was a lesson learned on booking through a non big name hotel!…
