It's definitely nothing special, but it could be worse. I wouldn't recommend it for a family, but a single person or couple just wanting somewhere to sleep, it's not real bad. Owners were nice, they are strict on their no smoking, they check room before you leave. There's a small store out front for drinks and snacks.
Very run down. The beds were like sleeping on boards. Paint pealing from the bathroom. Plug in socket behind nightstand was coming out of the wall. No bugs so I was happy, air conditioner worked great. Was okay for just the little trip we went on.
Me and my wife visited this place 20 years ago and it was awesome but we stayed recently and it was even better the staff was clean and the rooms were grand and clean but the room was also having a smell of flowers.
Good place to stay, clean rooms and great price. I can stay for a couple nights at half the price of only one night at the Breakers Hotel! My favorite affordable place to stay at in Sandusky, and I've been coming here for 11 years. Great to be so close to cedar point.
this place is horrible. we went in the room and it was barely clean. instantly checked the beds for bugs. didn't see any but when we came back from kalahari they were outside every room fumigating very late when most people were asleep. the doors has cracks in them so the fumes went into every room! we told them absolutely no way we were staying there and they only gave us 1/2 money back.!!!! please do not stay here just think of your kids inhaling those fumes.
My dad and I stayed for one night before a fishing trip. My expectations were pretty low so I wasn't all that surprised. Musty- mildew smell, check. Blood stains on the sheets, check. Trains that pass by every 30 minutes throughout the night, check. We were able to sleep maybe a total of one hour before having to get up for fishing . Should have just slept in our car at the boat dock.
While this motel is not the most modern place, it is certainly a decent place to spend the night. I paid $68 with tax and the room was just fine. The lady who runs the place, Riddhi, was delightful and accommodating. I needed a fork to eat my salad and she had one available, offering me a spoon too. I had to go to the office for ice, but there was plenty available and she informed me that I could have as much as I needed to fill my cooler. The towels were enough for two people, and while the bath is dated, it was very clean. The beds were just fine and I did not see any bugs at all! I would certainly stay here again and I am thinking of coming back for a weekend with my family to explore the area.
This is by far the most disgusting place I have every stayed. First of all, this is not a hotel. This is ran down, dirty motel. It was so bad that we had to drive to a local walmart in the middle of the night, bought sheets, pillows and pillow covers and lysol spray, just so we could survive the night. The bed was saggy and very uncomfortable. Shower was disgusting that I wore sandals while taking a shower. The place was right by the rail track and the train passed by through out the night. Not only it was loud, but the place actually shook. I stay in 4 star hotels all the time for my job but I am not picky when it comes to hotels. So I got this hotel to save few bucks. We were on the way to Put-in-Bay and this was just a short stop on the way there, so I thought it wouldn't be matter where we are going to spend a night. I never thought a place could be this bad. By paying $109.00, I thought to myself, how bd could it be. Well, I was so wrong. Probably some of you are thinking I am one of those people who would complain about ran down motel6 as if it is hell. Well, let me tell you that I will pick dirty motel6 any day over this place. It was by far the most disgusting place I've ever slept.…
