Admittedly they WERE doing some updating, but the 1st floor room we had was like it was from 1990. The TV we had was ridiculously small, and had no remote control in the room. The microwave was weak and had an analog timer - but none of that mattered because it was not plugged in, and I could not move the console to reach the plug. The room & bathroom were OLD. I was told the 2nd floor was all new, but all they had available was the 1st floor, however charging 2nd floor prices. Felt ripped off. If I get a room from 1990, I should get charged 1990 prices....

The hotel room was clean, but as mentioned in other reviews the hotel rooms show some signs of wear. There was peeling paint/wallpaper in some of the corners of the bathroom. I wish there was a more comfortable chair in the room. The chair included in the room for lounging was not comfortable at all. The breakfast the first day was ok with pancakes, biscuits & gravy, sausage, muffins, etc. The second morning the pancake maker was not working properly. The indoor pool was pretty cold, but my 4-year old enjoyed it. The hotel is pretty much as far north as you can get in Toledo; only a few miles from the Michigan border. The front desk staff was always very nice and helpful. The cost of the room was pretty reasonable. These minor issues would not keep me from staying again. I would go back to this hotel if it fit into my plans. I would probably stay a little more in central Toledo on my next trip, but it has nothing to do with the quality of the hotel; just more convenient.…

The person at check in was cordial and gave us ideas for restaurants. The room was clean. It is an older hotel and it does show it’s wear. Breakfast was simple we had the oatmeal, fruit, coffee which was substantial to get our day started. The hotel is less than an hour drive to Ann Arbor and Detroit.

Stayed there after a concert in Detroit. Only about an hour from downtown Detroit. Hotel was clean and modern. Staff were friendly. My only concern was a bright spotlight in the parking lot. It lit our room up and we couldn’t get the curtain closed completely. Otherwise it was a great stay. Would definitely stay again

Holiday inn Express in name only. Worst hotel I have stayed at in decades. The elevator is dirty and cracked, last inspected in 2020. The fourth floor carpet is bunched up and dirty down the entire length of the hall. The room smells of smoke. The carpet is terribly dirty and badly stained. A red splatter on the ceiling of the bathroom. Tub is mouldy and poorly caulked. The keycard for the room is a non holiday inn card wrapped in a torn piece of paper with a room number scratched on it. Breakfast area seats about 8 people and we did not stay. This place is disgusting.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Toledo North 09/10/2022 - 09/16/2022. I have been a loyal Holiday Inn person for over 35+ years. This location is clearly not up to the standards of the brand, The hall carpets were thread worn and loose, room carpets were stained and dirty, we had to request a hair dryer and plastic laundry bags, the face tissue (Kleenex) was empty and we were informed there were none to be found in the hotel, wall paper in bathroom was peeling, there was no bar soap in the bathroom sink and the shower bath gel dispenser was empty. In addition the bathroom had no towel racks so used towels went on the floor and had to be replaced daily. I have stayed at Motel 6s that were in better condition that this location.

Bad Points: Pool was closed and we weren't told until we checked in. Ice Machine in the lobby was broken with no sign... had to walk to the far end of the Third Floor to the only other machine. TV Remote... nearly dead battery. The "darkening shade" which was to block out the INCREDIBLY BRIGHT INDUSTRIAL-GRADE PARKING LOT LIGHT was about 4" too narrow; no possible arrangement of the curtains could block out the light. (Fortunately, we brought sleep masks.) Electrical outlet by the bed only one socket worked. No foam cups in room for the coffee machine. Also, only one plastic glass, had to bring in a used SuperAmerica drink cup from out car. Desk lamp, one burned out bulb. Phone not plugged in; don't know why it was even there. Hotel was what my late father would say was "really something in its day". Good Points: Actual BED was fabulous, and breakfast bar was WONDERFUL. Saved it from being a one star experience.…

A homeless woman tried to break into my room at 1:45am, I had to go to work at 4:00am, the front desk said that incident has happened before but yet nothing has stopped homeless people trying to break in the rooms, no signs of security, nothing! The breakfast bar was completely empty 2 hours before breakfast was over so I received no complementary breakfast. I asked for a late check out and at the time it was honored it at checkin. The next morning around 12pm there was a loud rude lady who was the manager screaming at me through the door asking me to leave the room abruptly because they couldn’t honor a late check out due to business reasons, she basically put me out like I was trash, I alerted front desk and nothing was done. I believe the night front desk clerk was either high or incomprehensible. This was the worst hotel stay, I asked for a full refund and haven’t heard since then…

We stayed at this hotel on two different occasions in March of 2022. The staff were friendly and efficient and all three staff members we dealt with (Tina, the late night counter person, and the day manager) all went out of their way to assist us when we ran into an unrelated travel snag. They truly wanted to help us in any capacity they could - Thank you!! The rooms were clean and the breakfast hot and plentiful. We plan to make this our regular stop on our way to and from Florida.

This is by far probably one of the nastiest and most rundown hotels i have ever stayed at. Lobby looks good but as soon as I got my key and got in my room is where it all changed. There was pee stains all over the toilet, who knows how long they've been there as well as hair all over it. The wallpaper was coming undone and hanging around the room. The chair in the room looks like the arms had stains or something all over it. Top of TV stand had sticky stuff all over it as well as the desk in the corner. Open up the coffee pot and it was disgusting as well. And I don't feel like the area is very safe after dark. If I had rented this myself instead of my place of employment I would have left before the first night. I don not recommend staying here at all.
