This the perfect weekend serene getaway. Such amazing and warm hosts, we had the most delicious breakfast on both days. Our hosts were kind enough to show us their garden, in and around their property. This is an absolute wonderful place. Must try.

Stumbled across this Hidden Treasure on our visit to this area of Ohio last week. The Cabin in the Woods was a delightful discovery off the beaten path with perfect accommodations and most gracious hosts. It is an architectural marvel with rustic, personal furnishings, healthy and fresh breakfasts and quiet serene setting. Walt and Peggy shared that their clientele is... More

If you are looking for a serene get away, this is it! This is a beautiful log home that is really where you can get away from it all. It is a short drive to busy places like Oberlin or Vermilion, but it is truly in the country.

Peggy and Walt are such a nice couple. This was our second visit to their lovely place, the kind of place where you really feel at home and welcome. The log home was built with care and attention to details, it's equipped with a ramp to accomodate handicap people and wheel chairs. The front of the house is built with... More

This is a gem of a place, worth the small detour from the Interstates to enjoy. It's a pretty property, nestled amongst a grove of trees. But what makes A Cabin in the Woods so much fun are its proprietors, Peggy and Walt Pleban. They are welcoming, yet seem to know just how to approach their guests. You'll visit, you'll... More

The Cabin in The Woods is like something out of a dream book. This place is just so wonderful and so beautiful. Walt and Peggy Pleban are such nice people. They both treat you as if you are family and not a paying guest at thier home. They invite you into the home and its just being treated as "royalty"... More

From August 2004 through May 2008, I regularly stayed at Cabin in the Woods during visits to my daughter at Oberlin College. Peggy and Walt Pleban always provided marvelous hospitality. My most recent stay was in May 2008 for my daughter's graduation. The May 2008 time was the best, because I rented the entire B & B for five days.... More

We spent an evening and very enjoyable morning at this three-room B&B in northern Ohio. The hosts, Peggy and Walt Pleban, have created a cozy, warm atmosphere within their timber-framed log home. It's well-designed for those needing wheelchair accessibility, but any traveller should feel welcome at The Cabin in the Woods. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable, our hosts... More
