The atmosphere is very good. Either make reservations or get there early. The house dressing is a must for your salad. The fried green tomato are awesome. Everything on the menu is good. Get the Irish apple cake for dessert

Went here for early dinner with family. Enjoyed the friendly staff who explained everything we asked about. Food was on time, hot, and the portions were, to say the least, generous. It is worth a side trip just to eat there. We were on a day trip to visit college so did not view or stay at the hotel. Will...

A small, old hotel well off the beaten path. We were actually put on to this place by a desk clerk at a nearby Holiday Inn. Its a clean and neat privately owned hotel/restaurant, with the owners clearly doing their best to reinvest and make the place better and better. The staff was OUTSTANDING, with special notice given to managers...

This historic hotel stands out as the jewel of downtown Wilmington, Ohio. I had called ahead for a reservation, but never actually went through with it -- a fact I neglected to remember until I was outside of the locked door of the GD on a Monday afternoon, searching in vain for the presence of an employee, or anyone, inside...

This is an old hotel in downtown Wilmington, Ohio. The restaurant is small but the food is great with a old time atmosphere. During the summer months they have live bands outside called Third Friday. A must stop while visiting town.

We recently spent the night in 204, a king room on the second floor opening onto the sitting room overlooking the lobby. If you like the 1928 era, you will love this hotel - lovely original dark wood, oldest operating elevator in Ohio complete with operator, wonderful breakfast included with stay, and excellent pub on site for meals. This is...

I have a passion for historic hotels, so when I found the Gen Denver on line, we went for it. We didn't have reservations, because we wanted to visit it first. Lovely old Hotel. When we went up to the front desk to check availability, we were greeted with a pleasant "Checking in?" When we said we didn't have a...

Great service from the bar and that carried over to the wait staff. We had a party of 6 with no reservation on a Thursday night and after 20 minutes or so, we were able to be sat. Minimal wait. The Apps we ordered: Brad's pub fries (yes! get them), Spinach & Artichoke Dip (yup. even the homemade chips), and...

Best spot for a dressy dinner or casual dinner in Wilmington. Menu has good variety, and locals appreciate their presentation. Old historic hotel with ambience. Formal room and grill room but the grill room is busiest.

Went to Mother's Day Brunch this past Sunday, 5/8/16. I understand it was Mother's Day, and a little bit of a wait is to be expected - but - it should not take 45 minutes to get your food when you have to choose from a limited menu. The entire idea of a limited menu is to give the kitchen...
