We picked Black Squirrel off Trip Advisor and couldn't have done better! It is a lovely Victorian mansion, done much to period and very comfortable. Our bed was very comfortable, room was beautiful. I got to peek into other rooms - ours had a standing shower, one has a Jacuzzi tub and another had a clawfooted tub, I think! Breakfasts... More

I stayed in the Black Squirrel Inn for a week, in the McIlvaine room.I loved it, it was big and comfortable. Everything was perfect and the housekeepers made me feel like home. Specially Mrs. Elena who even prepared a Colombian breakfast for me. She really helped me a lot, even booked a taxi for me to go to the airport.... More

We came to Wooster for a family members funeral and found the Black Squirrel Inn to be a quaint and charming oasis. It is tastefully decorated so that one feels as if they have stepped back in time. Fong was a very gracious hostess and her breakfast was delightful. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful haven, this is... More

This Bed & Breakfast was a true home away from home. From the amenities of the guest room to the generous hospitality shown through innkeeper Fong. I cannot say enough about how accommodating the innkeeper was and so friendly and pleasant, making her guests feel so welcome. She showed genuine interest in their stay and made my visit delightful. I recently stayed at the Black Squirrel Inn for the third time, and as in previous visits, I really enjoyed my stay. Fong, the innkeeper, is so gracious and friendly. I stayed for three days in one room, and I had family who also stayed in other rooms in the house. We all enjoyed a delicious breakfast each day (Fong... More

This bed and breakfast was perfect for our weekend getaway from Tennessee. Fong, the innkeeper, was so gracious and welcoming. The bedroom we had was spacious and comfortable. We had all that we needed in a beautiful Victorian setting. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I would definitely go back! Please give it a try.

The Black Squirrel Inn is very charming and cozy. It felt like we were staying at a close friend's home. Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Fong was warm, friendly and extremely accommodating. My daughter was looking at The College of Wooster, and Fong and the other guests provided great insight at breakfast (which I, should note,... The Black Squirrel Inn is conveniently located just off the College of Wooster campus (10-15 minute walk) in a renovated Victorian home. The innkeeper, Fong Wong, was fun and gracious and made me feel at home even though I was staying for only one night. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well-appointed, and mine had a private bath, which isn't... More

Beautiful looking property and a great location to The College of Wooster and town. However, the living room area had uncomfortable antique seating and dim lamps unsuitable for reading. There were multiple items for sale throughout the house (even tea bags weren't complimentary) which seemed odd. After bad experiences with our reservation, check in and breakfast timing, we left disappointed.... More

“McIlvaine Room--faced the front of the house. The street noise was minimal.”

“Although we have only stayed in one room on both of our stays, we did tour all the rooms. All rooms are beautifully cared for, comfortable and charmingly Victorian. Two of the upstairs rooms are significantly larger and include sofas in the room. The Brothers Schwartz Room, where we stayed, is a smaller room (though more than comfortably sized) with a much larger bathroom-due to the jacuzzi bathtub! The other two upstairs rooms have showers. The two downstairs rooms are a bit larger than the Schwartz Room, but not as large as the other two rooms upstairs. The Schwartz Room is definitely the room to stay in if you want to enjoy the jacuzzi! Also, the bed was extremely comfortable.”

“The McIlvaine Room is in the front of the house, facing College Ave. Quite a few trucks traveled the road in the evening, but by bedtime, it was peaceful and quiet.”
