Stoped in Bartlesville November 13 for the night to Stay at the CW I had 2 rooms for me and my friend and mother. Both rooms were dirty TV didn’t work in one room stove was ripped apart. No trash cans in the bathrooms. No soaps in one bath. I am a platinum member. This is very unacceptable for an IHG ran hotel. I stayed on points and money. Can’t believe I wasted my points on this hotel.

I’ve been a loyal IHG member for a long time; my job sends me all over the place throughout OK/TX/AR/MO/KS/LA/FL and I have always stayed at an IHG location. I understand that hotels have problems from time to time but you usually fix the problems correct or at the very least, try?! I am still in shock that after almost a YEAR later at this particular hotel the same issues w/the same ppl are still happening WOW!! Well my most recent hotel stay was in Bartlesville, Ok at the Candlewood Inn & Suites; something had hpnd earlier that day that set me back time wise and I wasn’t able to leave the office until around 8:30p. I asked my assistant to contact the hotel in Bartlesville to let them know that I was still coming but it would be around midnight or a little after. So I arrive at the hotel in Bartlesville, Ok at approximately 12:50a; as I’m entering the hotel I was greeted by a nice young lady who was in what I’m guessing is the hotels business center assisting another guest who was trying to print out the information needed for a job he was leaving for that morning. I could tell the gentlemen was stressed or worried plus he didn’t understand English very well so the communication barrier between the gentleman and the front desk girl was nearly impossible. I walked up the front desk to check-in where I met Melyssa. She apologized for the wait which wasn’t even 5 mins, I told her no apologies necessary everything was fine, she smiled and thanked me for the kind words. As Melyssa went through the check-in process she thanked me for being a loyal IHG member then advised me that the list of “special accommodations” I listed on my reservation had been met which was great to hear especially this being the first time anyone even bothered to read the “special accommodations” out of all my hotel stays let alone fulfill them! I was very pleased at how Melyssa was handling the check-in process; she basically took charge of the situation, went over my reservation w/me twice to make sure I had everything that I needed for my stay. I remember her answering the phone a couple of times while ck’g me in but she didn’t miss a thing plus wrote “thank you for your patience, I will be back w/you shortly” on a sticky note then the next thing I knew, she had me all ready to go!! Once I was checked-in I asked Melyssa what restaurants around town would she suggest? She asked if I had a few mins I said sure so a few mins later Melyssa hands me a list of restaurants with their locations that she said were some of her and her families favs. I thanked Melyssa for taking the time to do that for me, she told me no worries and asked if I needed anything else before I went up to my room. I respectfully declined and thanked Melyssa again! Well I’m on the second floor this time, let’s see how this goes haha! I say that b/c when I stayed here abt three months ago, I can remember hearing a lot of noise coming from the second floor! Ok so the elevator doors open and I’m immediately slapped in the face w/ Once I entered my room I immediately smelled something foul; I went through the room turning on lights so I could find whatever was smelling up my room. When I opened the fridge it was empty, the freezer too. The bathroom wasn’t the culprit nor was the fridge. I walked over to the window to open it up and let the room air out, I even moved the bed as much as it would move, I ck’d underneath the bed but still nothing. I called down to the front desk to let Melyssa know abt the smell; she let me know that she was fixing to come up w/my new paperwork and new key cards and would check it out then. When Melyssa got to the room she immediately smelled it too; I let her know that I had already ck’d the places I thought the smell might be coming from and opened the window trying to let the room air out. As I’m in the process of moving rooms I noticed Melyssa putting the bedding in a big trash bag, and then did the same w/all of bedding/towels. Both trash bags were loaded onto a cart Melyssa brought up w/her. I then watched her take the mattress out into the hallway and propped it up against the a door. She went back into the room to spray some smell good stuff on the curtains, the carpeting throughout the room and the mattress. She waited abt 15-20mins before she put the mattress back into the room. She assured me that before she left she would leave notes for the Asst GM and the GM plus try to talk to at least one of them before she left her shift. Like I mentioned in the beginning of my review, I travel for my job 85% of the time throughout the year so when you basically live in hotels away from your home, you want your stay to be as comfortable as possible w/o stress and issues. The last thing and I cannot stress this enough; the last thing we wanna deal with is walking into a dirty room and by “dirty” I’m referring to the bed that looks like it’s been slept in and what’s worse is finding hairs all throughout the bedding and on the pillows when you know darn good and well they’re not your hairs b/c you just ck’d into the hotel. Finding trash throughout the room and bathroom from the guest who was there before or finding dishes in the dishwasher that appear to be clean but when you pull the dishes out, you can smell stagnant water from the dishes and the standing water at the bottom of the dishwasher. When I travel to Oklahoma for work I usually go to Bartlesville for a few days and I always stay at the Candlewood Inn; the free laundry facilities and kitchenettes in every room are what sell your rooms. I’ve done the research trust me! When you live most of the year in/out of hotels you start to familiarize yourself with the surroundings and become acquainted with other guests and staff. I have no ill intentions whatsoever in writing this review; I just think others should be aware of what they’re in store for especially when there are kids around, I sure wouldn’t want my kids to see the type of ppl that are in/out of the Candlewood at all hours of the day/night. It seemed to me like it was a “free for all” on the second/third floors; druggie looking ppl in/out different rooms, most of them smoking just out in the hallway. I also noticed most of these ppl had key cards that actually worked b/c that’s how they were all in/out of the rooms. The key card master must have been on the second floor b/c I noticed a ton of ppl going to a room fairly close to the stairwell. None of them ever went into a room, they would knock, announce who they were, the door opened and out came a key card haha 😆 so again if you/your family are planning to stay @Candlewood Inn & Suites in Bartlesville, Ok. I would suggest asking for a room on the fourth floor 👍🏼

This is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at!!! I am not joking!! I booked 3 rooms for my family, 2 king suites and 1 regular room. Upon arriving, check in was super slow. One of the rooms had no working air conditioning (in August). When asked to switch rooms, they only had a standard room with double beds ☹️. One of the 3 rooms had no towels or wash clothes. I asked at the front desk and was told they were “out” of towels. What??? My husband had gotten in shower and now had no way to dry off. Around 11:00-midnight someone was knocking on the door (we had been asleep 2 hrs). They were bringing our towels!! There was no shampoo, body wash or bath mat in this room. The thermostat was broken and stayed at 64 degrees, even though thermostat was set to 70. Look at the picture below of the recliner in this same room. My daughter was in the king suite because she had 2 kids and needed the pull out sofa. There was NO bedding for the sofa bed. The bedroom door was off the hinges and missing. There was no dish or dishwasher soap so ran the dishwasher with no soap. It took 30 minutes to check out because the clerk and asst mgr, Lindsey, did not know how to adjust the rate from the suite to the regular room on my bill. I mentioned all the things that were missing to Lindsey. She did not apologize but had an excuse for all of them. “If you want soap, you have to ask for it,” “we don’t leave bedding in the rooms,” etc, please don’t stay here, you will regret it!!!

I have been staying with them on and off every time I'm around bartlesville for business the rooms are amazing and all staff are great but the assistant general manager lindsey Juarez is amazing she has a great attitude always smiling and respectful and she goes above and beyond to make sure myself and all our crews have a great stay she is always here anytime we need her and she is definitely a good person to have in management and in my opinion she probably needs more recognition than just a review we cant thank her enough for everything she does to make sure everything is done and that we all have rooms every week I would also like to thank all other staff for the effort they put in as well thank you

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a great place to stay in Bartlesville. We will be staying again in the future.
