My husband and I came here to stay for a few nights right after our wedding. We arrived Friday night, coming directly from our reception. We had to wait in the lobby for nearly 30 minutes to check in, even though I was in my wedding dress and we were carrying luggage and gifts. The woman working the front desk said it was her very first day, so it was understandable why she wasn't able to get us checked in. However, they should have had someone there to help her. After she gave us our room key, we went up to our room and the key didn't work. We tried it a few times and then heard someone from inside the room tell us it was occupied. We went back downstairs and she gave us a different room key for a different room. We went back upstairs and tried the room key again and it still didn't work. So we went back downstairs and got a third room key, for a completely different floor, and it finally worked. We managed to finally make it into our room around 12:30 am and weren't even offered waters or drinks or anything after all of the inconveniences. The next day we had planned to eat a nice, honeymoon dinner down at Ranchers Club and when we called earlier that day they were already completely booked up for the entirety of our stay. We spent the day resting and recovering in our room with nothing to do but watch low-quality, cable TV, and we weren't able to find anything good as there was no channel list or TV guide. We also had to kill a big beetle that got into our room. We tried to leave later that day to go have dinner somewhere else, but it cost us $15 for every day we parked at the hotel. Usually when parking in a parking garage at a hotel, I can expect to get a voucher since I'm already paying hundreds of dollars to stay at the hotel. However, the parking garage charged us $45 to park. The day before our wedding, we stayed at the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Stillwater. The service was phenomenal and they even offered my husband and I free drinks and snacks for the entire weekend. The staff went outside and lit firepits so that we could site with our friends after the rehearsal dinner and catch up. The Springhill Suites was half the cost of the Atherton, the rooms and bathrooms were twice as big, the service was phenomenal and it was bug-free. There was plenty of parking and it was completely free. We will never be staying at the Atherton again or recommending it to anyone.

5 out of 5. Absolutely stunning hotel with very eager to please employees. This hotel has everything which is a cozy room, beautiful lobby/cocktail hour area, valet parking, outstanding restaurant, excellent coffee and cocktails (black widow drink highly recommended). The fabrics chosen for the decor are stunning and the outside patio is also gorgeous.

This was our 3rd stay at the Atherton and always in the same suite. If 2 ½ stars was an option I would rate it that. They gouge you on parking so we went with valet. One morning I called front desk spoke to Hally and asked for our car. We got in the lobby I ask the valet where our car was and he said he wasn’t told to get it. Upon leaving we ask Hally to have our room cleaned before we returned in 3-4 hours so we could rest without disturbances before our evening plans. When we returned, the room was not cleaned. Hally said they were short staffed, so we requested they leave fresh towels at our door. Those towels never arrived. We ended up emptying our own trash in shopping bags. Our room was never refreshed, our towels never arrived and we ran out of toilet paper. Maybe Hally was just having a bad day, but someone with good customer skills would have made sure those towels made it up to our room. We did enjoy the breakfast buffet I give them a 5 star.. Next trip we have decided to explore other accommodations .

Initially nervous due to grouchy attendant at car park gate, but then blown away by the valet & check in staff. Both friendly, helpful and kind to answer questions. Rooms are beautifully done, extremely clean and beds super comfy. Highly recommend this hotel for those visiting OSU campus/events.

My wife and I stayed on two nights here after the students had left campus. It was a nice, clean room. Breakfast at the Rancher's Club was delicious and well-handled because of COVID. The staff served you, and the selection was limited compared with what a non-pandemic buffet might be. However, we enjoyed the overall experience. Just be aware that the restaurants are not open on Sunday evening. One additional note, we awoke on Monday morning to two oil tankers outside our window, which meant we "enjoyed" the smell of oil wafting into our room; it wasn't the fault of the hotel because they were there to take away the oil waste (cooking oil, etc.) from the Student Center.
